Petzl ACTIK CORE Headlamp - Red (Classic)

Amazing headlamp that I utilized for hiking and camp at night. The cost is a bit more than what I wanted to spend, but it is worth every penny! I used it during a hike to Havasu in the wee early morning hours on switchbacks into the canyon, it is bright and will blind someone so be careful if you turn your head towards any hiking buddies. It was perfect for walking around camp at night and in the morning before the sun rose. I charged it prior to the trip and took a set of batteries with me in case it died, but I had no issues with the charge and did not use the extra batteries. The battery lasted from the charge prior to the trip, during the trip and has not needed to be charged again yet (end of July). It is comfortable around the head and adjustable to fit any head size. I did utilize the red lighting as to not wake or disturb others and it was great. I do highly recommend the purchase of this Petzl Actik Core Headlamp, it is not disappointing and I cannot wait to utilize again on my next adventure.

Um I'm a little critical of headlamps because I've been through a few. It's good headlamp but lacking a defined hotspot and throw. Run time is not impressive at about 30min approx on high. Medium is good for a couple hours and low is good for a very long time. But that's what you get for the battery size. Weight is great. Durability great. Stability great. Material great quality. User interface is alright. The most annoying thing about this lamp is the angle adjustment feature when replacing the battery. It can kinda jam or get off track frequently but is easily corrected. A second battery is a must for best usage while the other charges. The strap is holding up after a few months of dirty work and hard use. One cool feature is the integrated photoluminescent ring around the emitter in case you drop it in a dark place. I do wish I had picked another option but it's a good purchase nonetheless and I'll continue to use it until the batteries die.

Needed something with breadth and depth of beam for regular nightly chores when hands free is needed. Outstanding visibility and fit. Good battery life on rechargeable battery included, with option for AAA's. Petzl has several other choices if you don't need this many lumens, but for real workouts this is a star.

This light has all you would want in a headlamp as far as the light and headband are concerned. I really like the rechargeable battery feature and purchased an extra battery for each light. However, the mechanism to move / adjust the light itself up and down is difficult to use and is highly likely to break. I bought this light as the previous headlamp brand I used also had this weak point with the headlamp adjustment. Small plastic nubbins subject to breakage way too easily. To be clear, this hasn't broken yet but there has to be a better more durable way.

Much brighter than my old Petzl and love the options for charging or changing batteries.

I got this headlamp to upgrade my older one. Same brand, just a newer, more powerful lamp. I’m very happy with the upgrade. I can wear the headlamp for a good amount of time without getting a headache. I can wear it with a hat on and still have a nice throw on the light. I can also use it as a lantern with the included bag, but I don’t bother with that. The core battery which came with my headlamp is good for a long time. Hours and hours on intensity 2 of 3. Level 3 is really just for short term needs. If you leave the lamp at full power for too long, it heats up quite a bit. I’m happy with this thing.

After having bought one, I bought another one of different color, and then another one of different color, so we can tell, whose light it is. We are extremely happy with the performance and the features it has. I do recommend this Petzl ACTIK CORE Headlamp.

旧アティックコアを使用していた。 山でのヘッドライト性能は命に関わるため、 購入から7〜8年経った事とUSB-Cになった事からこちらを買い換えとして購入。 以前のものより ・ライト部を回転させてスイッチロックができる。 ・パッキングが付いて防滴性能が上がった。 事が更に良くなっている。 数グラム重くなったが誤差の範囲。 角度変更に少しコツがいる印象あり。

Reliable Petzl quality throughout. Easy button layout and function. Super bright and great lighting levels available with a simple single button click. Plus red mode. The band is super comfy for long paddles and hikes. Might be the best petal headlamp of the 4 that I’ve owned over the last 15 years.
