Because the mask is a moulded shape, it doesn't press down on your eyes and makes it feel just like closing your eyes in a dark room. The mask is soft and light and it is hard to know you are using it. Top tip - don't buy the black version as it is so easy to leave it on your seat when rushing to get off the plane - the electric blue may look a little bold but you don't have to look at it, and you are less likely to lose it.

Apart from looking like you are wearing a bra on your face this mask is excellent at blocking out light.Unfortunately they are far too tight. I wouldn't say I have a large head (I am male) but to get these to fit the Velcro is barely attached. You have about 5cm of hook and loop, but only 1cm is attached in order for me to be able to wear it.Even at its maximum it is very tight and restricts breathing.It would have been easy to have had more elastic and allow for larger heads. This is certainly not a "one size fits all"

I've tried various types of eyemask but have found these to be the best balance of features. I've had others that are better at blocking out every trace of light but the trade off is that they add bulk and are simply too tight. These provide a better compromise - a small amount of light leakage around the edges but not enough to detract from how great they are. You look a little odd wearing them but being able to open your eyes whilst wearing them makes a real difference. I've used them on transatlantic flights and they are just so comfortable. I bought this pair for a relation who was in hospital flat on his back, staring up at lights. They made a huge difference to his comfort - they were worth every penny.

They are a little bulky and do tend to come off if I wriggle too much however they do not put pressure on my eyelids and keep the room dark as I like to open the blinds before going to bed.

I like the mask, found it comfortable thanks to the smooth material and raised eye area, and unlike cheaper masks it is thick enough that light does not penetrate, while the carry bag makes it convenient for travel.Loses one star because the shaped nose leaves some space for light to get through, even with my European-standard-size nose.I recommend this for travellers and light sleepers in areas where the sun rises before you do in summer. Do not recommend for persons whose noses are flat or prominent.

Best masks ever.No fancy bulky padding and the colour stays where it should.Been buying these from this company since 2009- all the rest I wouldn't bother with.The elastic goes after time but I toss and turn at night and it only needs a light touch with a sewing machine to breathe new life into it. Having said that £8 isn't too bad for a new one, don't be fooled into getting those cheaper ones!

Being a shift-worker, and annoyingly quite sensitive to even the smallest glimpses of sunlight that somehow bypass my bedroom blind, this mask is great. It leaves a gap around the eyes so it doesn't press down unlike the cheap and cheerful versions you would get on a flight. It's well made, does the job it's designed for, and is very comfortable. I compared a lot of these before choosing this one, and am happy I did. A good purchase.

This is worth every penny and so much more for me - You can't put a price on a good nights sleep!! Keeps the light out really well, doesn't feel claustrophobic to wear as the contours mean it doesn't touch your eyes and the earplugs are great too. I've used this for years and am on my second one after the elastic stretched too far on my previous one - after 5 years of wearing it every night I didn't think that was too bad!!
