Tera Grand RETH-WH343 Premium High Speed HDMI Retractable Cable, 4.25-Feet

Perfect for use. I bought to connect my laptop to my work monitor in my home so I can do my own stuff in the evenings. Since transitioning to a work from home role my work setup doesn't allow room for my personal desktop monitor. Getting creative I hooked up my double monitors to the docking station, then my desktop to the one via VGA and my laptop to the other via this HDMI. Utilizing the logitech MX keys and MX Anywhere 2S I can easily switch from all the devices. I am not tech savvy at all so I'm just thrilled it worked. The only thing to note is the size. It is much bigger than I expected. I took a picture next to a standard size swingline stapler for reference. It hangs down a little further from the monitor than I'd wanted (also pictured), but not an issue or as big of an eye sore as the non retractable HDMI cable I had there previously. 9.9 out of 10, hopefully it holds up. The display is HD and I hope the end can withstand the constant connect/disconnect, and the cable can withstand the constant extension,/recoil.

Most people complained about the size or length of this. I however, did not find any issues other than the fact it is about the size of an average HDMI cable when fully extended and is no larger than my other retractable cables. (It is about the size of a tangerine/orange. If you want to have an HDMI that is portable and high quality this is perfect. If you pair this with a usb/usb-c retractable cable and a retractable power supply with high wattage you can compact down your travel needs and turn any laptop or gaming handheld into a wonderful experience. I personally have a HD monitor and with it and my cables now being retractable, years of annoying gaming now have become a simple one-and-done setup.

I had a retractable HDMI cable from Tera Grand that finally stopped working after several years of rough handling, bouncing around in my travel bag. I chose this model as the replacement because the cord is longer. The 3ft cord on most retractable HDMI cables can be inconveniently short when trying to reach from the back of a large TV to a surface in front. Because the cable is longer, the spool is bigger but still portable (the spool is 3"x2"x1" and the cable ends stick out another 1.5" on each side when retracted). It works great to connect my Windows laptop or iPad Pro to a TV when traveling (through a USB-C adapter).

Bought for work travel; used it at home for just an afternoon to test out and it worked great. Used at work for a day and it was fine. Day two, I hadn't moved it and it started showing on-screen artifacts. Day 3, stopped working entirely. Tested with mulitple displays and would not work, and the ratcheting mechanism to keep it lengthened wouldn't work anymore, either.

It says what it does and is what it is. This product is okay I just feel like it is very chunky and thick and not that much portable than a standard hdmi cable, it is for sure more neat though. I would say if you want the MOST portable option you are better off picking up a hdmi cable that is thin and can wrap around easily and storing that as the big plastic housing and everything for this make it annoyingly big
