I would enquire at the manufacture level. I believe it would be more than adequate for heat but what is in the trailer? Check with experts

Q: What is the correct connector to connect the heater to the propane tank? Why is this so difficult to find. I have to return the heater altogether.

You need brass fittings and a hose to connect to your propane tank. You should be able to get them at your local hardware store. Propane fittings.
