Had a problem connecting CCTY DVR to monitor, the DVR had two video outputs BNC and VGA, monitor only had VGA and HDMI connections. but as I found out the default setting on DVR was that the BNC connection was the control channel and the VGA out was just a monitoring signal, no way to control DVR when connected via VGA out. This little box solved the problem and I was able to control the DVR and then able to set the VGA out as control channel, once this was done no longer require the converter, However will keep this in by tool box for future use if I need to connect up old tech.

The unit itself works ok,Use it to display the output from an Apple II onto a VGA LCD. Text display is good, but colour graphic screens are a bit noisy but that is probably the signal from the Apple. Not a bad choice for retro machines.However, the PSU is flakey and keeps turning off/on. It is a simple 5V DC supply so just swapped it for a modified mobile phone charger.

These are excellent little units. Work every time. Well worth the money.

Camera test.

I was looking for BNC to VGA converter. I did research and found this on amazon. Delivery was quick. I highly recommend this product. It is very simple to use. Just plug and play. If you play with it there are lot more functionalities apart from basic use. You can control the VGA output settings like brightness, contrast and lots of other stuff from it. Best 14.99 spent.

I purchased this to allow me to use my BNC cabled Watec low-light camera on the telescope, with a small LCD screen for multiple people to see the Moon. Not only does it do the job but, as is powered, the image coming back seems brighter & stronger than when used with a frame grabber. Allows me to use vga into the screen.

Good piece of kit. Does what I needed which was to convert the S video from a DVD player to VGA so that I could put it through a VGA switcher and send the desired signal to a projector. It's small and neat. Good delivery time too. Can't comment on it's longevity yet as I have only been using it for a month.
