Very good illustrated Bell47 monograph.
Very fast service. Good packaging.The book is illustrated encyclopedia of Bell47 Helicopter. I would like to need more about Bell47H Bellairus. But other types very well covered and it makes very good modelers reference book.

Bought as a present for a family who has a particular connection with the Bell 47 - and they were delighted. Great history, good photos and probably the only book dedicated to Bell 47s!

Good but could be better,
As far as I know, this is the first book devoted solely to the Bell 47 family of helicopters. On that basis I bought it, with mixed feelings as it is only half the book I expected. On the plus side, it is a neat 9" square format hardback book with well produced photographs in b/w and colour. The development of the type is well illustrated as is its use by US military and civil operators, with everything covered. However, when it comes to foreign operators, there is a random selection of photos of different military and civil operators, some with inaccurate captions such as confusion between the RAF "Tomahawks" and Army Air Corps "Blue Eagles" display teams and an Australian Army Bell-47G captioned as 'Westland -built', There is a a production type list at the end of the book, but no production list showing operators, delivery dates, numbers delivered, serial numbers etc., which is vital as a reference book for the serious aviation enthusiast. Also as a lot of enthusiasts will buy this book for modelling references, it would be nice to have a list of model kits and decals available as well as profiles and scale plans, but no such references here. A good quality book and nice to have something dedicated to this famous helicopter at last, but a UK publisher probably could do better.
