Does anyone else have a faint knocking noise with just the light on? Normal or abnormal?

I seem to remember ours made that noise also. As much as I loved the look of this fireplace, it had to go. Our unit started malfunctioning after about a month. It was emitting a very noxious, electrical burning smell as soon as it was turned on. I was able to get a refund as it was too expensive to ship back for an exchange.

Does it have any odor?

It's electric, there's is no odor. If you want a pretty flame, then buy it, but if you're looking for heat then forget it. Very little heat.

I've had it about a year. The flame does not work anymore, is there a way to fix that?

My flame stopped working in less than a month so I sent it back. I don't know if there is a way to fix it. Maybe contact the manufacturer?

How noisy is the fan?

Hello, Yes, mine has an undisturbed gentle Fan like sound, soft yet mellow . The days I get up real early before the Sun for a mug of Hot Coffee ,and my thoughts . I wish for the Power to Freeze Time with the House so Quiet, turning on this Fireplace doesn't disturb that Tranquility. Happy Holiday's :}
