Definitely a winning purchase..
This product was recommended to me by Chatgpt when I asked it for a battery charger for my range rover. I previously read these types of vehicles have special BMS electronics which needed specialist battery charging and then recalibration. The dealership quote of £190+ was not optimal for me so chatgpt recommended this charger as it had different charging modes to charge battery without impacting the electronics. The Instructions were intuitive and easy to follow and it charged my dead battery up in 5 hours. Because I used the right charging mode the vehicle's battery electronics system was fine. I do not drivevling distance so expectvover time, another charge will be required so will saves me loads each Time. Really pleased with purchase!

Brilliant smart charger - already paid for itself!
I have been looking at these chargers for ages, to compare them with others available, and finally bought one on all the recommendations. This is a top quality charger, much smaller than most and very well made. The range of CTEK chargers is quite confusing, but I wanted one that would revive old batteries and also smart charge batteries that can be left on charge permanently, this charger does all of that. So far I have revived one old battery from dead, discovered another was passed it, fully charged two other batteries that were not holding a charge and got our camper batteries back to as new for the new season. It is very easy to use which is just as well because the instructions aren't great - more diagrams than writing, and not clear on the different modes, what they do and how to select them. This is not a boost charger to jump start your car (although it might even do that too I haven't tried it), but it will replenish any flat battery (including gel) and also recondition batteries that have been left uncharged so that it very soon pays for itself. Great piece of kit, well worth the extra money over and above cheaper chargers.

Earned the cost back within the first couple of days.
I bought this mainly for keeping a 400 quid's worth AGM cell in tip top condition as it wasn't being used much in a car audio system in a car off the road and slowly draining. To that end it has an AGM mode that charges at a slightly higher voltage, appropriate for the power cell - unlike my ancient 80s charger. My AGM now sits at a very healthy 13.5V~ and I can rest assured that even if I want to use it to jump one of my cars, or when it eventually gets used in an audio system again it will be ready to go. Now, on to the main point. I have several old batteries laying around, and 3 cars not currently road legal and have been sitting anywhere from 1 year to 6 years. The first subject, a 1 year unused car, with a battery measured at 3.34V that was left connected the entire time. The CTEK in recondition mode brought it back to what I can only presume is fully healthy - I tested it on a 100 amp crank tester for 15-20 seconds and the voltage barely dropped from 12.7 -> 12.6. A successful recondition. Worth mentioning is that before I had the charger I tried to run the car and let it use the alternator - the battery after 10 minutes or so was spitting out liquid at the sides - it was clearly trying to get too much power at once; that's why chargers like the CTEK are current limited, with careful control over what happens. The second subject, a 3 year unused car, with a battery measuring 8.68V, that had been disconnected at some point over the years. The CTEK in recondition mode brought it back to a stable 12.6V and the cranking test also showed an insignificant drop. Another success. The third subject, a 6 year old battery left connected in the car measuring 1.82V. The CTEK did not bring this one back. It's worth noting that in both the above cases the CTEK went into 'ERROR' mode - but after a reset continued to recondition. With this battery it would constantly go into ERROR mode after about 10 minutes. I put the CTEK in to power supply mode and just left it on the battery for about 2 hours to try and force some energy into it to give it a kick start, but when measuring it after removing the leads the voltage plummeted from about 3.3V down to less than 2V very quickly - definitely no saving that battery. All in all an excellent charger I wish I had bought years ago, it would have saved even more than it has already.

L'appareil m'a bien aidé en sortie de confinement, suite à une batterie complètement déchargée. Le Ctek a remédié au problème en quelques heures. Très utile et simple d'utilisation !

its working fine on both my cars on Rolls royce Wraith at AGM Charging mode, took 3h for charging full. and on my second car (Jeep Wrangler) took 2h at normal battery Charging mode A+++

Acheté pour recharger et maintenir une batterie de voiture de 110Ah ne roulant pas régulièrement, cela fonctionne parfaitement. L'utilisation est vraiment simple : il est possible de recharger la batterie sans la débrancher même sur les véhicules avec beaucoup d'électronique. Il faut respecter la consigne : brancher d'abord la batterie au chargeur puis brancher le chargeur sur le secteur pour éviter toute perturbation électronique. L'effet du chargeur a été net : la voiture démarre plus vigoureusement. La fonction de maintien en charge évite que l'électronique de la voiture ne vide petit à petit la batterie et le chargeur reste branché sans risque de surcharge. Deux petits plus que j'ai apprécié : - la possibilité de brancher une prise sur la batterie à laisser en permanence et sur laquelle le connecteur du chargeur vient se brancher. Cela évite d'avoir à démonter/remonter le cache de la batterie. - la housse de rangement : pratique pour ranger le chargeur et les câbles dans le garage ou le coffre. Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de tester la fonction de reconditionnement de la batterie car il est fortement conseillé de débrancher la batterie pour éviter tout risque de cramer l'électronique de la voiture.
