This book is perfect

Reading this as a newcomer to routers, it quickly becomes clear that your focus quickly needs to shift from the machine itself to getting your head around the use of jigs and techniques to achieve your aims.Having said that, there is a lot of really good advice about selection of the router and bits, and the essential safety aspect.Pretty well the only book you’re ever likely to need on the subject.The only downside as an UK reader, is that it is an American publication, so all measurements are Imperial (I am old enough to remember our pre-metric days so it isn’t too alien to me) and the list of suppliers are all US ones.Highly recommended!

This book teaches you how to start from nothing (with no equipment) right through to pro projects. Great value and well laid out with great pics. Please read before you buy anything and you will save a lot of money.

Better than I thought the book would be really good reading. If you are going to start using a Router this is the book you must read 10 out 10.Full of information that I-needed to get started on my project.
