Really enjoyed this series from Telltale
I really enjoy Telltale games, which are an interactive story with decision making and sometimes a little puzzle solving. This style of game appeals to me as whilst it is not too difficult, it is still very involving and keeps you interested. The game is split up into episodes, making it ideal to play bit by bit if you do not have lots of time.I like Batman, not read a lot of the comics but I enjoy the films and it was nice to see Telltale's take on the characters. I like the art style a lot, it is like being in an interactive comic book. This disc has the first episode on it only, but purchasing it pays for the other episodes and you can download them at no extra cost. Be aware of this before you put the disc in and play, as downloading all four additional episodes can take time, even if you have a good internet connection.I enjoyed the story, and have not experienced any crashing issues just a small amount of minor lag during some action sequences. Annoying but not enough to ruin the game for me. Trophy hunters may wish to know that as long as you complete each episode you cannot miss any trophies therefore guaranteeing you a platinum. As with all telltale stories, the choices you make can affect the story so I will definitely be playing through again at some point to see how different the ending can be. If you like these sort of games, I think this one is very good.

One of the best telltale games ever!
Honestly people who have never played telltale games don't understand the gameplay, one star reviews are totally unnecessary. The story of this game is phenomenal, telltale are brilliant when it comes to story telling, like the walking dead and wolf among us, this game is purely amazing. Have it on Xbox and now PlayStation well worth it!

Good. Not great.
I've been a fan of telltale games since I was a kid. Their resurgence over the last few years has been a welcome rebirth. This Batman story/game makes lots of use of the non-usual characters (aka the main villain isn't Joker!) as well as mainstay names. I won't go into spoiler territory but it does repeat plenty of the same tropes used throughout Batman comics (yes, we know his parents were murdered in Crime Alley and it still saddens him!) but it also avoids expected ones.Of course for the gamer, you get the chance to experience playing as both Batman and Bruce Wayne. you get to make decisions as to how the one man / two personas react to their decisions, including which persona is right for certain situations. As with all telltale games, your choices will make 'some' differences to your progression and will affect character relationships, but this time around these choices didn't appear to affect much at all (in comparison to other Telltale games). This will become apparent for anyone who's played other Telltale games.Despite that grumble, the story and gameplay are good. Interactivity is similar to other Telltale games and easy to understand. You can't really get stuck, as the story generally keep you moving. You can 'die' but the game simply starts you back at the most recent save spot and you continue.A nice detail, as with most Telltale releases, is that you'll get to compare your choices with the rest of the world at the end of each episode as the credits roll.I'm paying this on an original PS4 (not the Slim or Pro models). I did have some technical issues while actually playing the game. To give one example, there's a scene where you see the shooting of Bruce's parents, but all the way through, Martha Wayne was missing her hair, so at certain angles I could see though her skull and view the back of her eyes! That ruined any immersion. It then crashed the game shortly afterwards. In fact, I think I have one crash during each of the five episodes... that's not a great thing to experience at all. In comparison, I'm 25 hours into Fallout 4, a game notorious for crashing machines, and I've not had any issues.Another thing that's already been raised multiple times is this physical edition of the game. The disc contains just the first episode, acting like a season pass for you to download the remaining four episodes from the online Playstation Store. (Each episode is around 2GB to 3GB, and given that I have a slow broadband connection, I'd finished the first episode before the second one was half-way through it's download.) Another gripe is that you cannot play any episode without the disc in the machine, despite only having the first one on the disc. The choice to sell the game like this makes the physical release practically redundant. I saved about £2 by buying this instead of just going for the digital-only version from the Playstation Store. (Digital versions should really be cheaper as there's no packaging or shipping involved!)I'd say this probably a must-have game for any Batman fan, or any die-hard Telltale gamers. The story is okay, but hindered by limited results by your decisions. The technical glitches are unforgivable. If you're not really into story-led games like this, then you could pass on it.However, whether you're new to Telltale games or not, I'd easily recommend playing The Walking Dead Season 1 and Season 2 (Season 3 is being released soon). Also, do play Tales of the Borderlands – it doesn't matter if you played any of the Borderland FPS games – it really is the pinnacle of these decision based games. And lastly, if you fancy playing any of the remastered (or just the old versions) games, then do play Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango; plus Full Throttle will be out in 2017.

Item was defective - Disc corrupted at midpoint through game - 25% cost for a refund!
After spending several hours (and thoroughly enjoying the game), the fourth season was corrupted and would not load. The disc was obviously corrupted and had not been checked prior to being sent out to me.To add to my frustration, the company had the cheek to charge me to return the item!Although it wasn't an expensive purchase, it has cost me 25% of my return to send a defective disk back!Absolute rip off - poor quality product and appalling customer service. Will never buy from 3rd party company again! Oh, and I have the privilege of waiting 5-7 business days for the refund? Why? My bank does instant transaction processing and there is no need to make payment via BACS.AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

It's good but it might not be the Batman your familiar ...
I bought this as a gift but I have played the game. It's good but it might not be the Batman your familiar with which might be dispointing or really interesting depending on your stance. Either way if you've played telltale games in the past you will have a good idea what to expect.I hope in future games telltale take a leaf out of dontnod's (life is strange) book and add some real depth, thought and emotion to their games. Telltale do make good cliffhangers though and this game certainly keeps up with that theme.
