Aliens: Colonial Marines: Limited Edition (Xbox 360)

Firstly, Amazon used Royal Mail not Aple the courier they used the last time I was supposed to get something on the day of release and it arrived on time, so that was an improvement. Secondly compared to other 'Alien' games of this genre, this one out surpasses them but that wouldn't be difficult as most of us know. As a fan of all the Alien films since the first, I've been looking forward to this for sometime.Accepted the in game graphics aren't the best, for example some of the scenes in Dead Space 3 are superb while in Aliens.... they're very good. Scenes like when your looking out of a ships window onto a planet below or at another ship but the characters are average. I found the game play very good, from on board ships to the planet below and some of the 'spooky' scenes will make you jump out of your skin.Things they've got right in this one are things such as Hadley's Hope, the Sulaco, pulse rifles, atmosphere, automatic turrets music and sound if you have good earphones. I haven't played the co-op yet so can't comment on that but so far I'm very impressed with this one, finally somebody has produced a good, decent, Alien game, hoorah!Game updates:I've completed the campaign now and I can honestly say that this game is nowhere near as bad as some are making it out to be. For example in recent weeks I've completed Crysis, Crysis 2, Hitman Absolution and Binary Domain and for me, as a fan of the films, this was better than all of them. The only game I've played recently that has better graphics is Dead Space 3.Throughout the game you have the opportunity to find legendary weapons like Hicks shotgun or the pistol used by Vasquez. The original actors provide voice overs for the characters and it was supported by the film company who makes the movies, who wouldn't put their money into a dodgy investment.Maybe the big companies just want it to fail and have told 'professional reviewers' to give it a hard time but if your a fan of the films and have played the game, it would be interesting to see why people don't like it. It has atmosphere, accuracy, fairly good and more than acceptable visuals (except for close ups on characters but they're okay) I just don't understand the hatred.Further update:I finally found a frustrating glitch last night after six days of playing A:CMC. I came across another legendary weapon, a pistol but when I approached it and tried to pick it up, it was 'glued' into the floor and couldn't be collected to go with the others. Frustrating but not a game breaker, hopefully I'll find it again on another run through.This time I've upped the level to hardened and it's virtually impossible to get through a level without being killed a few times, they really are 'coming out of the walls, ceilings and floors.' I listened to a 'professional review' of this yesterday and it was totally inaccurate, I won't say who the reviewer is but he had only played it on normal difficulty and moaned that there weren't enough Aliens (then up the level).He also said the Aliens just appear in front of you to be shot, wrong and that the AI on your side don't help, wrong again. He didn't play the co-op at all, despite this though he still gave the game 7/10. A very good score considering his information was inaccurate! Is it any wonder lots of people think this game sucks after a clear campaign to ruin it.Give it a chance chaps and chapesses!

I have been waiting a long time to get this game, and for good reason, I knew it was gonna be amazing.Many people had wrote bad, terrible and untruthful reviews, mostly from COD fanboys...they made me worried that the game would not be good at all, but as I have played the game now I realise thatthe people who wrote those bad reviews were not telling the truth and have no idea at all what a good aliens game is all about.People say the graphics are no good, they are amazing and up to date...People said the campaign is too short, well, maybe they should try playing the game on a harder difficulty instead of easy mode? ha!!This is THE....best aliens game I have ever played, it is incredible in every shape and form and has surprised me with its awesome features.Any true alien fan..TRUE..alien fan, will love this game..if you don't then you really shouldn't be claiming to be a fan.I will recommend this game to everything, it is damn awesome and does not get boring at all...just as I thought...5 GOLDEN STARS FOR THIS EPIC, AWESOME ALIENS GAME!!P.S, I have found NO bugs in this game..not a single bug at all.Please do not let ignorant trolls ruin this game for you if you are an aliens fan, this is one ofmy favorite games of all time now....all true aliens fan will love it, if not then you are not a fan.UPDATE: I have completed aliens on hardened difficulty, and ultimate badass difficulty!I am absolutely violating this game and getting all awards, achievements, upgrades etc...I love this!!!

OK,i have been waiting for this game for years ! i have seen ALOT of bad reviews for this game,DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS !! i really can't understand how some people have given it bad reviews ???? maybe they were dropped on there hillbilly heads.The game has a great atmosphere and is scary, explore a derelict space ship ! explore LV-426 Hadley's Hope ! with a pulse rifle ! smart gun ! motion tracker ! how could any aliens fan ask for more ???? has the actors voices from the film and all the true sounds from the film.i started the game online with co op ( i don't recommend this ) as i had 2 clowns who wanted to be rambo and kept running off rushings the game and it was just poor,i then re-started the game again in a private lobby with my mate ( we took our time and explored it how it should be done ) basically took the game seriously.i have just upgraded my pulse rifle with an extended mag and red dot site ! you can do this when you rank up with XP. this game is for a true aliens fan,i have AvP aswell,which i enjoyed,but this game is better,the only thing i would say is that the aliens look a bit better in AvPonce again DO NOT listen to the bad reviews,this is one game i will never trade in,along with ,AvP,Metro 2033,Left for dead 1&2,crysis 2,COD MW3,GTA & Fifa !BUY IT

Llego en plazo, y ademas esta a mitad de precio que en cualquier tienda de segunda mano de mi ciudad, y ademas me lo traen a casa. Genial.Es de importacion inglesa, lo cual quiere decir que esta todo en ingles, pero al ponerlo en la consola se instala una actualizacion (si la tienes a internet conectada) que te lo pone todo en castellano como si el juego fuera de aqui.Por cierto, la carcasa, los manuales y el disco estan perfectos como si los estrenara yo.

Ho letto molte critiche su questo gioco, soprattutto dopo l'uscita di Alien: Isolation, con cui molti lo paragonano esprimendosi a favore di Isolation; parliamo di due titoli totalmente differenti, un action fps, questo, contro un survival, Isolation. Questo è un titolo molto "americano" con un'azione incalzante, una trama appena sufficiente a sostenere le sparatorie e un coop molto divertente. Le ambientazioni sono compunque ben rese sebbene il comparto gafico non sia dei migliori, a parità di anno di produzione e tipologia di gioco. Pezzo da avere.

Las criticas que puedas leer sobre este juego en internet son ciertas, es un juego para quien le gusten los fps, o para los amantes de la saga aliens, ya que existen muchos guiños a las peliculas, ciertamente no tiene los graficos que deberia tener para la epoca en que salio, y aunque al principio vas con cierto temor a que te salgan aliens con el transcurso de la historia les pierdes un poco el respeto y el miedo. Es un juego de accion y deberia haber sido un juego de terror/accion. Por lo demas es un juego bastante entretenido, la campaña se puede jugar en pantalla dividia con un amigo (offline) lo cual es mas divertido, que es lo que yo buscaba, y esta totalmente doblado al castellano, el libreto y la portada en ingles.
