I'd say this stuff did it's job and did it well.
I had to move dwarf apple trees from one side of the garden to the other at the worst possible time of the year (May). Remember how hot it was in May/June? I wanted to give them every chance to survive so decided to use this product. Most of the leaves dropped over the Summer but a few hung on. I won't know if this stuff really worked until next Spring but three months after the operation the trees are still alive, still have green leaves fluttering in the wind. So far, so good.I also used this stuff on transplanted shrubs and they have taken off and thrived in their new positions.I will update next year.19/04/18 So, it's nearly a year since I moved the trees and I am happy to report that they have all survived. One developed die-back but I got ahead of it with some judicious pruning over the Winter. It was a long Winter and the trees were late in breaking bud but they are all flowering now. I wont let them fruit this year so they can concentrate on settling into their new position.

The hedge has only been planted two weeks but all 100 plants seem to be growing well.
Followed the instructions to the letter and everything seemed to work ok. I had to continue planting into a second day, by which time the liquid had started to separate a bit. I mixed it up a bit by stirring it several times while using it and all seems good. The longer term will tell how successful this has been but everything looks good at this easy stage in the life of a new hedge.

Just really good value for a basic garden necessity
When compared to the smaller sachets available on here and in local centres and shops, this represented really good value based on unit cost per kilogram. If you're generous with this stuff, as I am, then cost is worth checking. Good value.

Great for improving the health of your plants
This is a great product. It is suitable for dipping bare root plants into to treat them (or adding to a compost/food mix. This is the second bag I have bought - I bought the first from a local garden centre and it is significantly cheaper on Amazon. Our garden is like an amateurish pie on the Great British Bake Off (it has a soggy bottom). Amongst this part of the garden which I adoringly call 'the swamp' (in winter) is a row of conifers which are looking more dishevelled than Ian Beale on Eastenders when he lost everything. The poor conifers are waterlogged for months on end and combine the wet with compacted clay soil, I think it is slowly killing them off.I found an article online about 'vertical mulching' whereby you create 3-4 inch diameter holes approximately 3-4 foot deep and about 5ft from the tree base (being careful to avoid main/large roots). In these holes you pour a mix of soil conditioner, fine gravel (or horticultural sand - I opted for gravel because of the clay), slow release food and RootGrow. This allows air and nutrients to get to the roots and RootGrow helps build a better root structure in these better drained pockets. So far, it has been just over a week but the conifers are looking a little less 'limp' and hopefully are on the way to better growth.

it's good value. Endorsed by RHS too
Seems to do exactly what it says on the packet. I had to replant some 'difficult to grow' areas with the same shrubs that had previously died. Using this product seemed to make a marked difference. None of the 'new' shrubs have died, in fact they are thriving. It may simply have been that I had chosen weak specimens in the first place, but I personally doubt that. I now use this on each and every occasion. Appears expensive initially, but when balanced against sourcing and buying new plants continuously, it's good value. Endorsed by RHS too, and they know about plants, unlike me!!
