Poirot's Finest Cases: Eight Full-Cast BBC Radio Dramatisations

I loved the radio play adaptation with Stella casting, I play in my car and it enormously takes the stress out of long drives

I got these to listen to when doing housework or just relaxing they're great.

Great performances - John Moffat is the definitive voice of Poirot for me - his personification of the little, fussy Belgian sleuth is, how they say? parfait! The finest of these episodes is without doubt the wonderful reading of '...Orient Express' which is magnificently produced and acted by an exceptional cast. The others vary a little, are of variable length (ie a couple are short, frankly, and one or two are perhaps lacking in the same panache. I have knocked off one star and I was tempted to remove two: the packaging is most disappointing and hideously impractical, especially if you are not the most nimble with your fingers.I had also hoped for some sort of booklet with cast details and perhaps some background information. There is nothing. More irritating is that, rather than have stories in individual 'sleeves' in a box, this comes as one clumsy and user-unfriendly 'clam shell' with all the 16 discs crammed onto one spindle. This is fine if you want the disc from the top of the pile but IMMENSELY tiresome otherwise as discs are juggled with and consequently have a far greater chance of being dropped or accidentally damaged. And if you wish to 'rotate' the stories in sequence you have to remove 15 discs every time to put the most recently-listened to on the bottom of the pile. Plain silly.

This really is an excellent buy for Poirot fans ! John Moffatt is a very good Poirot , thoroughly enjoyed it .

I love these productions, and this is a great collection. They keep me company while I’m doing chores in the house and on the allotment. The late John Moffat is an excellent Poirot, and Simon Williams has just the right level of incredulity as Hastings.

Superb sleuthing......Agatha Christie and Poirot are unbeatable! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to these excellent dramatisations of Poirot's cases...I now have them on my itouch and listen often! I hope my "little grey cells" are influenced by their exposure to Poirot and his detective work!

An excellent collection of poirot stories. The BBC audio books are always well acted and I enjoy listening to them. Would definitely recommend.

We like this, but many of the stories are shorter than we expected. It's a good way to spend a long journey - time flies when you have a Poirot by your side!

Always enjoy a good Agatha Christie tale. Especially when she has Hercule Poirot in it. Fun stories with suspense and surprises.

I got these to listen to in the car on my commute and they provide a nice interlude for the hour back and forth each day. Well written and acted for BBC radio they included some of my favourite Poirot mysteries including Death on the Nile and The Orient Express. Im not thrilled with a lot of the actors in the series but John Moffat as Poirot was fabulous. Ive gotten through three so far and am looking forward to the last five. Death on the NIle is my favourite so far
