A bargain of the price. They’re well-made, and the stainless quality appears to be higher quality, stainless than what you sometime today.

I used these to hang trail bologna and summer sausage in my smoker to make it easy to rotate them around as needed by temperature. They work perfect.

I grow most of our veggies and herbs in our basement, and use s-hooks to hang some of the lights. I have been using 1" s-hooks, but needed something a bit longer for one of my lights. I bought these hooks because they are 1 1/2", but found they are made of a much thicker stainless than the 1" hooks I have. Although they won't work for some of the chains I use to hang lights, they work for the light I wanted to hang with them. The 1" hooks I have been using, although describes as s-hooks, are not really the shape of an "S". The ends of the hooks point outward rather than being curved like an "S". This has caused a problem since the weight of the item to be hung does not always fit into the curve of the hook. Because of this, I have had to use a pliers to close the ends of the hooks a bit so the hooks didn't bend open with weight on them. These hooks are truly an "S" shape. So they don't need to be bent closed on the ends. They are also very heavy duty and will not bend or give out with weight hanging them. Although these hooks won't work for the small chains I use to hang light, they will work well for other purposes. I hope this review was helpful for you.

These are big! Excellent finish on them, super hard to squeeze close though. Even with 17” knipex pliers. If you don’t need to close the s, they are great. I was wanting to put them on 5/16” chain, to attach a latch, but they are too tough to get closed.

S hooks A number of uses, wouldn't be without them.
