I wanted a second cable as I am using hire-cars a lot through my work, and I wanted to leave the original cable where I had installed and routed it in my own car.This is obviously not the cheapest cable of this apparent-type on the market, but not all work as traffic receivers and only provide power.Before I bought this I went on to the Garmin website and via their support live-chat I was able to get the correct part-number to order, to be compatible with my specific sat-nav. This was it (and not the part number that I thought I had identified and was about to buy). The enquiry took about 2 minutes to resolve.This is not identical to the original cable that came with my Sat-Nav. This has a facility to connect an additional antenna to the cable, if you find that you are in a low signal area. The antenna is provided and fixes to the inside of the windscreen, and plugs into the fatter plastic section closer to the end of the cable that plugs in to the Sat-Nav. So far, I have not needed it.Being Garmin original it feels to be good qualty, and it works and does exactly what i need and expect.

Great but not cheap - NUVI 1340T
My Garmin nuvi 1340T is getting a bit old now. The original cable was starting to fall apart. The traffic management stopped working recently so I thought I would try this cable as none of the original ones are available now. Garmin told me they didn’t make this one anymore either. Luckily Amazon came to the rescue.The cable works perfectly and my traffic is working again. You don’t have to use the aerial attachment in most instances to receive traffic, which is a bonus too. I’m happy as I was looking at having to fork out on a new satnav but now I don’t.

Exceeded my expectations!
The GTM 36 was a replacement for my original charger. It had, unfortunately, been damaged when it was caught in my van door. This model works better than my old GTM 35. It actually receives without the aerial plugged in. I tried using an ordinary charger but my Garmin went into USB mode and wouldn't navigate. You are tied into using an original Garmin charger. Buying from Amazon was the best value for money option. The item arrived within a couple of days. Very convenient

It works! My son wanted something that would do the job and cut in with traffic news and lots of the other leads don't do that. It was expensive really, but if it cuts down getting caught on the M25, then it has to be worth it in my book. Very easy to install. Would deifnitely recommend.

Good but bulky and slow.
Does the job but cables very bulky and so tough to hide. Takes its time picking up traffic....I'm several miles down the motorway (M5) before it picks up traffic. Good for a long journey but not fast enough responding for local rush hour trips. Still have to use TA on the radio and google maps to find out the traffic quickly. But once it does pick up traffic works well - reroutes effectively etc.

Prima TMC-Empfänger für Garmin Nüvi 2460
Wir suchten ein original Ersatzkabel für unser Garmin Nüvi 2460, da nach über 10 Jahren das alte Kabel an der USB-Stecker-Seite gebrochen war. Das GTM 36 ist ein Kombigerät aus 12-Volt-Netzteil und TMC-Empfänger. Unser Navi lädt nun wieder einwandfrei. TMC pro wird korrekt empfangen. Es gibt von uns nichts zu beanstanden.

Good product
The fault was not from the cable or the GPS but from the base holding my device. I wasted about $300 until I replaced the GPS holder with the contacts and suction cup.

Funziona.
Il ricevitore info traffico e cavo di alimentazione GTM 36 si adatta e funziona perfettamente con vari modelli di navigatori GARMIN NUVI, specialmente con quello in mio possesso NUVI 3790T. Nella confezione si trova anche l'antenna a filo esterna. Tutto O.K.
