Very Impressive MODERN Tuner!!
The media could not be loaded. Decided to buy as was on the lookout for something to cater for all my music, radio & podcast needs in one unit.Have embraced the streaming age & love to listen to a wide selection of content from both the UK & around the globe.Standard Radio tuners simply don’t cut it anymore.Amazon delivery was speedy as usual & it arrived well packaged. In the box was the main unit, remote (batteries included) and the WIFI antenna which was simple to screw into place. My first impression was how stylish it looked; Also at standard HIFI component width will complement other equipment & look good in a rack. All the controls are very well laid out.Another big plus was the amount of connection possibilities; pretty much all bases covered so it can integrate well with lots of different systems.Inputs are 3.5mm jack & it can also receive sound from a Bluetooth source such as a phone.Output wise there is the ubiquitous analogue rca (standard red/white connection) & stereo 3.5mm jack. Digital connections in the form of both optical (toslink) & coaxialThere is also handy 3.5mm headphone socket. It can be connected to a variety of equipment such as, HIFI amplifier, surround sound receiver, powered speaker(s) etc...As long as your equipment has an audio input you are basically good to go!!I actually connected directly to a soundbar (the excellent Sierra plus) via an optical cable.Network connectionWIFI connection was straightforward. The range of radio stations is really extensive. I’m literally finding stuff from all over the World & the ‘discover’ feature is a real boon. It’s simple to browse on either the unit or via the included remote. You can search via location & genres so if you want to find a Jazz station in say Jakarta, Well...you get the idea. There is also a superb app that you can download for your smart device called UNDOK.Podcasts: A huge selection on a whole host of topics, sure to find content for everyone!!I particularly love the fact that it remembers where I left off.Spotify:It has seamless Integration with the hugely popular music streaming service. It’s very easy to set up & navigate using your phone so definitely another big thumbs up on the connection front. If you use another service say Amazon music yo,u can still set up the Fitzwilliam 3 to receive the Bluetooth audio from a PC, Tablet, Phone etc & stream that way.Other Features:Although I would primarily advocate buying mainly for internet radio & streaming ability, it still has a number of other useful features. It supports DAB+ & FM radio (remember that!) I found that with the telescopic aerial on the back, signal quality was good for both. There is also a handy usb socket on the front that can play music & also double as a charging port.In conclusion I would say this is a very good tuner that combines very well the best of the new & the old.It should certainly meet the needs of most, whether you are looking for an upgrade from older equipment or in the market after a good value well specified model to enhance home listening.I was particularly impressed by its ease of use & informative display.Definitely recommended.

Majority Fitzwilliam 3 in black.
I bought my Fitzwilliam 3 as a DAB radio tuner and Internet Radio. The box is basic containing the Fitzwilliam 3 in a soft bag with hefty cardboard protective ends. Some might feel more packaging could be used but the current is adequate and fit for purpose. The WLAN aerial, remote control and batteries were keen to show themselves when the Tuner was unpackaged. Presumably to save paper and cost, the instructions are easily accessible online for download. As an old boy I like a real instruction book to look at but the PDF version did the job ok.Set up seemed very straightforward. Choose the language, 12 or 24 hours clock all that sort of stuff. I was lazy when connecting to my router and couldn't be bothered to go downstairs to press the WPS button. Instead, when asked, I simply put the router name and password in and the system did its configuration / tuning very quickly and easily. PDF instructions are there for reference but, like me, if you're not a very 'attentive' reader, simply getting on with it seemed very simple for the Fitzwilliam 3. The WLAN antenna did its job faultlessly and proved that a wired connection was not necessary.Searching for DAB and Internet stations can be quite fun and saving them to the stored positions is fairly simple and saves time and hassle later.I was concerned that DAB / FM antenna is the extendable type and that I might not have room to use it effectively. I need not have worried. It seemed pick up a strong and regular signal. If needs be the aerial has an F type connector and therefore a different aerial can be connected if needs be although Majority don't see the need to make a big thing of this as it's probably hardly ever necessary to change the aerial type. The Majority Fitzwilliam 3 is a standard Hi-Fi size which can be used separately or as part of other Hi-Fi components. Therefore its design is very straightforward. It doesn't have any handles or unnecessary embellishments. Available in Black it fits neatly and 'quietly' onto a bookshelf and is there for business not as an ornament. It does however have its own simplistic and appealing design which I like.As well as the radio functions, which are important to me, the Fitzwilliam 3 can also playback Spotify from a Bluetooth connection from your phone or tablet. It also has a memory stick USB socket so you can playback your library of music. The Fitzwilliam 3 also has a headphone outlet for those quieter moments and an alarm function if you need it to remind or wake you.If great clear sound, straightforward design, functionality and simple operation at a competitive price is required, then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Majority Fitzwilliam 3.

Was looking for a low priced streamer to play Spotify - this is the perfect solution
I have a really good Hi-Fi (Naim) in my home office but it was vinyl only. I wanted to add streaming to listen to Spotify, but didn't want to spend hundreds or thousands of pounds on that as I already have an expensive streamer in my main system. Saw this second hand and checked Amazon and it was only a few pounds more than the s/h one.First off, if you are looking for a proper Hi-Fi streamer this is probably not for you. But if are looking for a featured packed, well designed streamer that is for background music then this is a must buy. In addition to streaming it has DAB and DAB+ and a podcast feature that I have not yet played with. It even has a colour screen - its fairly low quality but it does the job.Setup is quick and easy, and the front panel controls are simple and intuitive. I've not yet had the need to use the remote as I use Spotify Connect to control the device. At the price I paid (there was an offer that took ten pounds of the regular price and another offer for a free pair of Majority wireless headphones) this represents fantastic value. And it have a three year warranty.
