Wham-O Twilight Blast Frisbee

A lot of people who buy the Twilight Blast Frisbee are unable to turn on the lights so that the stay on! As a result, the disk is almost useless at night and they are neither buying more as presents or recommending it.Here is what happens - they click the button on top in the store and it starts flashing. They buy the disk, tear open the package and take it outside to play at night. They try to turn it on so that it say lit and cannot find out how to do so. They play for a while, but it is a pain to keep clicking the button on top and finally they give up.You may be thinking "Well, just because this guy could not find the switch, that does not mean that others cannot find it". But here's the thing:1) My 14 year old son (smart kid, reads 2 books per week, etc) could not find it and said that he and read the packaging and there were no such instructions.2) I could not find it until I retrieved the packing from garbage and even then, the instructions were hard to find on the packing. Had I not been convinced on general commercial principles that such a switch must exist, I would have given up.3) Once we found the switch, we loved the disk so much that I brought one as a gift for a software engineer friend. Neither he, nor his two college age sons could find the switch and assumed that there wasn't one! When he called to thank me, he said that he just "wished it were possible to turn it on so that it says on".So, zero people out of a sample size of five were able to find the switch to turn on the lights so that they stay on.The problem is simply:1) Lack of clear directions on the packet2) Lack of clear markings on the disk. A red sticker saying "Slide Switch to Turn Lights On ==>" would fix it.THE SLIDER SWITCH IS ON THE UNDERNEATH OF THE FRISBEE. IF YOU SLIDE IT ALL THE WAY, THE LIGHT STAYS ON AND DOES NOT BLINK.

This Frisbee was an instant hit at my last party. We used it to play nighttime Kan Jam and it rocked. It stayed bright for several hours of play. The color is definitely not what is pictured. It is a multi colored LED cluster in the center of the Frisbee that shines outward onto the disk. You can choose either flashing or constant on. The colors are Red Green and Yellow (I don't think there is even a blue LED) Kinds stinks cause I was pretty excited for the solid Blue color, however, it's still pretty awesome. I rated it a 4 star and not a 5 for the mis-representation of the product on its color (The blue is what sold me).Side note, trying to catch the Frisbee while it is flashing is quite the challenge. When it is set to constant on it is amazingly visible, no issue at all in catching in total darkness. The Frisbee itself is also very durable, it took some hard hits against trees and pavement and still shined on.

This model is better for night flying than the glow-in-the-dark Frisbee by Wham-o (I haven't seen the Nite Glow Ultrastar). The flashing mode is VERY difficult to catch at night; the constant-on mode is easy to track & catch. One of the best things is that it's very easy to find when a throw is less than perfect, and the disc goes into trees or bushes! This model is fairly heavy, so it flies well even in wind, but it's not as heavy as the old "Pro" model.Too early to tell if the lights will prove to be hardy & last; and I have no idea yet how long the batteries will last. This model is absolutely NOT for dogs or use in/around water!

my granddaughter loves it, she had alot of the cheap disc in the past that broke quickly.So I thought I would see if I could find the Frisbee from my past and I did and she loves it.

I'm a huge frisbee fan! It works amazingly and is so much fun at night. Flies perfect! Lights are very bright and it can take hits without breaking! Love love love it!

At first I was skeptical...being old enough to play with the original Moonlighters! My first Twilight Blast is still flying two years later including some tough errant throws and landings,,,now it is my go to gift for my son's birthday invites. Only draw back...when more players keep joining in the fun and the Twilight zone gets larger one must be careful of "novice" players who may throw into a dangerous catching situation {ex. campfires, trees and horseshoe pits!).

We used this frisbee for a couple nights of KanJam  Kan Jam Official Game Set  ). I was afraid the thing would come apart with the blows it constantly suffered, but it held together with any noticeable damage. I couldn't believe it. The lights, with their three options for timed-blinking, blinking, or always-on, are plenty bright for even the darkest night. In fact, the darker the better, I think. The weight and balance was so good, we started using it during the day, too.
