Fiskars Acrylic Ruler 6” x 12”, Optimal for Patchwork, Various shapes, 1004744

This is a fantastic ruler. I use it daily for my work. The numbers have started to wear off, but I have had it for seven years and as I say use daily. So this is my second one.I will buy another incase they stop making them, as I prefer inches.

Since purchasing this I have taken it each week to my sewing class and used it a number of times so I am really happy with the fact that it is easy to pop in a bag. I am not giving it 5 stars as it is early days and I have read that some people have found the hinges not very robust. Fingers crosssed this will not be a problem.

Strong and good size ruler to add to my collection for measuring and cutting fabric. Has imperial measurement markings.

This product is very easy to use and v value for money. I would recommend it for any sewe r or patchworker.

I do a lot of fabric crafts and storing a long ruler usually means having it on show, I love the fact I can just fold this and store in a drawer.

I have amended my original review- This is not the standard I expect from Fiskars; I have many of their other products and have been very pleased with all of them until now. The 3 sections of this ruler are held/hinged together with some sort of clear tape. I was very pleased with the ruler when I first received it (early 2017) although I was sceptical about the hinge mechanism. It has been very useful to take to workshops and stores easily, given its expandable nature BUT the "hinges" are not sufficiently robust. Mine has been well treated, not dropped, sympathetically stored (which is easy given its small folded down size) and already one of the hinged sections has deteriorated so that the tape is loose and this point catches on my rotary cutter, when using the full expanded length of the ruler. I would probably buy one again for travelling, but would not recommend it as a main cutting ruler.

Absolutely love this ruler! It has made cutting out squares for dog bandanas, so easy! Very durable and a really good price! Highly recommend.
