The Chevrolet Corvette C2 (or Sting Ray) is a sports car designed by Larry Shinoda under the styling direction of Bill Mitchell, and was produced between 1963 and 1967 at the St. Louis assembly plant. It is commonly referred to as the second generation or mid-year Chevrolet Corvette built and marketed by Chevrolet. 1967 saw an L88 version of the 427 introduced, which was rated at 430 hp, although unofficial estimates place the actual output at 550 hp or more. Only twenty such engines were placed in the 1967 Corvette, and the cars can fetch $600,000 or more at item today. This gorgeous piece has been finished in Sunfire Yellow, an authentic 1967 Corvette color, with a black interior which is a beautiful complement to the clean lines of the 1967 Corvette Sting Ray. It comes fitted with the optional sidemount exhausts and exemplifies quiet agression like no other. This replica also features the optional L79 small-block V8 engine displacing 327 cubic inches and producing 350bhp, which was the second most popular engine option in 1967, production just shy of the standard 300bhp 327 motor.
