Works as advertised.
We used this in a couple of table top fire pits during a party and they worked well. Make sure that you wear gloves when handling as there are tiny fibers that will get into your skin and cause irritation.I cut these to the sizes we needed (while wearing gloves), placed the in the miniature fire pit and doused them with rubbing alcohol. The flame took quickly but was not aggressive and while the display was impressive, I was not worried about too much fire.The trick is to use the right kind of fuel and these will work really well. I recommend them for the application in which we used them and will buy more in the future.

Works well in portable fire bowl.
This ceramic wool works well in the portable tabletop firepit. It adds time to the flame. I use it together with the rubbing alcohol & a few small pieces of the ceramic wool. One box lasts a long time.

Not worth the money.
The product DOES NOT extend burn time! The ventless fireplace burnt for about 60 minutes with the thin and cheap ceramic wool that came with the unit and burnt just as long with the thick ceramic wool. Ethanol is ethanol, I was stupid to think that the fire would last longer by putting thicker ceramic wool in the container! Should have saved the money a buy an other gallon of ethanol fuel instead.
