Basic wooden set or spare pieces.
This wooden chess set is good as a basic wooden set for beginners or children, where lost or damaged pieces will not break the bank. i got it because I had lost a pawn from my (more expensive) wooden set and this was just what I needed.The reason I gave only 3 stars are the knights which are completely awful (and I'd do a better job myself), other pieces are fine and the checkers are just ok, I would mainly say best got for spare pieces if your set is similar in size and colour.

Really pleased with these chess pieces. Nice size. Well worth the money.

An introduction to chess.
I bought these because my 7 year old granddaughter took an interest in chess after I bought a cheap set from the supermarket. These pieces are far better than the the small plastic ones included in my initial purchase. Hopefully these lovely tactile wooden pieces will be the start of many games with her in the future.

Does the job and what I needed
Arrived very quickly which is always very convenient.The pieces were all there and nothing was missing. Quality is ok and it was exactly what I needed quickly for a good cheap price.I will one day invest in a more expensive quality board and pieces but this chess & drafts pieces set was absolutely fine.

Simple Yet Elegant
What attracted us to these pieces is the color, the material and size. These were purchased to complement a chess board my husband made. We appreciated the bag for storage as well.

Die Figuren sind aus Holz und vernünftig verarbeitet und für den Preis absolut in Ordnung. Mein Sohn hat sich gefreut.Dazu der kleine Samtbeutel schützt die Figuren beim Transport.
