A good choice for anyone with dementia wanting a simple communication device. One drawback is there is no Vowifi so in poor reception areas it is useless, keeps dropping out. So sound quality can be poor.

This seemed like the ideal purchase for an elderly relative with vision and dexterity issues. It was easy enough to set up; the features are very limited, but possibly are adequate for an elderly person with dementia. HOWEVER, this unit was to serve as a backup line of communication to receive calls and for emergencies, yet within the first week I was finding it switches itself off for no reason. I personally made sure the battery was adequately (and never under- or over-) charged, and yet I kept finding it had switched itself off without notice. I was happy to pay a premium for peace of mind, but I didn't get that, so in the end what you have is a very limited function handset of low quality which costs more than twice as much as any old jobbing unit and doesn't do the job it claims to. Returned for a refund, after reading the other negative reviews here. I can't tell if this is just incompetence, or the sort of semi-predatory business model/product I have, sadly, become all-too-familiar with as someone who cares for a vulnerable person. Either way, I can't recommend this to anyone with a vulnerable relative, as it is absolutely not reliable.

A solid device for individuals with dementia who need easy-to-use communication features. The main downside is the lack of VoWiFi support, which means it isn’t reliable in areas with weak cellular signal — calls drop often and sound quality suffers.

Easy to set up and use. Has enabled Dad with dementia to stay in touch. He has forgotten how to use house phone and his old mobile so this has been a fantastic buy. It is what it is as a product, a basic stay in touch tool. Sound quality could be better but for what it has achieved for my Dad this can be overlooked.

very lightweight for the money but will try it for elderly person not sure really have seen some cheaper but better quality but not big enough numbers. Can only take 4 main numbers any others you have to enter when you want to ring but screen to small for elderly

Just what my mum needed. She had previously had Doro phones but kept creating many multiples of all her contacts and making the language Estonian. We have no idea how but she kept doing it over and over, every time we fixed it. This Easyfone is much better for her. Just four speed-dial buttons, a keypad lock to prevent accidental calls, and an SOS button. What could possibly go wrong?! So far so good. Highly recommend.

Not fit for purpose. The phone is too small for elderly people and the buttons do not always correspond with the correct programming. It stopped working altogether after a few days and was returned to Amazon for a refund. There are much better mobile phones options available for elderly, they cost a bit more but you get what you pay for!

Overall really happy with the phone. It’s perfect for my mum who struggled with smart phones and only having 4 contacts in the phone is not an issue. Like the large display, simple buttons and desk charger. Using it with a Vodafone sim and it works great!
