This is a brand new edition of the 'Cut-out Greek Temple'. Each page contains pieces which children can cut-out and glue to create the Greek temple itself, as well as the inhabitants of the Temple including priests and priestesses. Crammed with intricate details and with flaps which open to reveal the temple's secrets, this book is guaranteed to keep kids entertained even after it has been built. It includes full assembly details and instructions. Review: Lovely project to do together - Loads of fun to make for our 10 year old .... and parents, sure it takes quite some time, but we just did it for an hour or so a night and its lovely to do together. Probably 9-10 hours or so I would think in total, maybe a bit less. We used mostly double sided tape for the longer sections and tacky glue for the fiddly bits, seemed to work well. We did not follow the instructions for the columns and instead glued them into the top section first before attaching to the base, this worked well for us, the instructions for this looked impossile. We pimped ours up with some LED lights to represent the corner flames and some scrolling text on a BBC microbit, which was actually really easy to do and looked great, very happy child .... therefore .... happy parents. Review: Too have time to make and too be patient - Is wery nice product but is very hard to make. This is not for children too maket. Is more the 10 hours to be done ✔.

Combines history, craft and play - highy recommended
Our 8-year old Daughter has an ancient Greek project at school and as a result she ended up totally fascinated by Greek mythology and tales. The fact that we visited some of the sites a few year ago might contribute to this. So, rather than books and illustrations, its great to find a more tangible item that relates to the period in particular since this Usborne book combines play value, history, art, architecture and craft. The construction of the temple is not too hard. Albeit we had to assist her a bit with the cutting and assembly of the temple. But the result is great. She proudly brought the result to school where it got a prominent class display for several weeks.

Invest in double sided tape!
Far too fiddly for children to make. It took a very long time to construct, my son got bored. Glue does not work very well, so we used double sided tape, you will need lot and lots of it. It looked great when finished. Not sure I would buy again!

Impressive end result but a very complex build
I gave this 5* as once built it is very impressive, however it is a very tricky and time consuming build. There is no way my 8 year old son could have done this alone, I struggled with the complex instructions. It took much patience and determination to complete however once it was finished it did look impressive. I very much doubt I would buy another from this series.

A great piece.
This was purchased for my year 4 school project. While there is no denying the final piece looks great, assembling it took many hours and could not be done by a 9 year old alone. Cutting required craft knife as well as scissor, and I agree with others that double-sided tape was a life-saver and more practical than glue.

Looks fab
I bought this for my 9 year old so. For a school project. This was not the easiest project. The whole family got involved and although it was tricky it was good fun and we all got a bit addicted to it. It looked great when it was finished and although we enjoyed building it at the time we we're all a bit relieved when it was done. You will definitely need a craft knife (use with a ruler) and it's worth buying tacky glue PVA adhesive, works really well. You will also need a little extra time and patience but you will love the finished reject. Read and reread the instructions they are correct even though my husband wasn't always convinced, but that's a man thing.

Excellent model.
An accurate and beautiful model of the Parthenon in Athens as it was when newly built. It's educational and and a good challenge to build. Instructions on how to build are easy to follow and the result is very satisfying. You will need a craft knife, paper/card glue, scissors and a surface to score/cut on.

Amazing project
Very tedious but the results are worth it! We built this for my child social studies project and it came out amazing. Take your time and really look at where the pieces go before you glue them.

Project for hours - for adults only
Well, the result is great and children love it. The temple is great for displaying Greek temples in a school context. But I would rather say that children cannot endure the stamina required for the folding, cutting and gluing. This is definitely paper crafting for adults with a lot of spare time. From time to time it was quite frustrating when the pillars collapsed again and nothing would work out. So, all in all you need time, patience and good, sharp scissors to finish this temple. And sometimes you need someone to help you with.
