It has a pleasant smell, however it isn’t an essential oil, it’s a thick dark brown liquid, almost like a resin. The scent is very light and soft. If you’re putting it in any product that is clear, it will make your product foggy and brown. I don’t recommend it for any uses with clear liquid.

This is not vanilla. I make perfume for a living. This is balsam of Peru or benzoin. It's also not able to be returned.
