Q: Anyone tried the upgraded version of this? Is it better?

I bought 20th March 2017. I don't know whether this is the upgraded version. My 5 star review mentions a blue that was a feral so is very nervous. He still loves grooming with this brush. I would recommend.

Q: Is it suitable for long haired cats?

Our cat is a short-hair, but his coat is very thick. The fingers are very far apart (a bit like fingertips, I suppose) so if you can run your fingers through, this brush should work. It brings all the matted unshed hair out painlessly. Our cat just loves it. You do get quite a lot of static, though, so don't wear man made fibres when you are doing the brushing unless you like sparks!

Q: Is it suitable for short haired cats?

The rubber teeth are quite soft. Therefore. If your cat likes been groomed it would be fine. I have 3 long haired cats so I can't comment from experience.

Q: Is it suitable for a kitten from 12 weeks?

My 13 weeks kitten loves it! It's like a massage for him, he always starts pooring when I brush him. Just be gentle not to hurt the kitten
