Leaves the kettle spotlessly clean inside. We live in a very hard water area and *everything* gets scaled up. A lot of products claim to remove limescale but don't really seem to do anything (mostly toilet bowl products to be fair). After boiling this up in the kettle I dump it down the toilet and it has enough strength left (leaving it overnight) to get rid of the limescale build-up under the water level.Not the cheapest, but if you use it every couple of months it will definitely stop your kettle (and toilet) looking gross.

This is a great product! i've used other brands over the years but this seem to do a far better job. gives a great looking clean it not sticky as such and there's no strong chemical smell to it .

Very effective in dealing with limescale but if you have a sensitive nose, be aware! This really catches in the back of your throat, and it made my eyes water a bit, so stand well back when using it. It doesn’t take long though, in the kettle, and left it all sparkling. I didn’t use as much as suggested as otherwise this bottle won’t last long, but it’s an excellent part of my cleaning kit. Good on taps too, wipe over, leave then rinse off.It’s a bit more pricey than buying one off sachets but if you don’t use quite as much each time, it’ll last and it really does work.

I first found this stuff in a local hardware shop but it seems to be hard to get in many shops. Works a treat and your kettle will be sparkling afterwards. A word of warning though: Read the instructions VERY CAREFULLY and follow them to the letter. Despite having used it before, I got complacent and dumped a whole dose into the kettle at once without taking the kettle off the base and putting it into the sink. If you have a lot of limescale like we do (very hard water) the instant reaction will woof up out of the kettle and all over the place. That killed the kettle as it went into the base and fused the wires (I'd left it on as well which is pretty dumb), hence my very next amazon purchase being a new kettle.My top tip: When adding this stuff to the half kettle of just-boiled water, do so a bit at a time and make sure you've put the kettle in the sink just in case. Also, this stuff stinks so try not to breathe in near the kettle whilst it's doing it's stuff. It leaves no trace of smell or taint once rinsed out, re-boiled and rinsed again (as per instructions), but it's pongs when you're using it so be warned.
