We got this watch for our son (age 7). He's had a few incidences where he has gotten off at the wrong bus stop on his way home from school and one time where he went to a friend's house instead of coming home. Needless to say, we needed to be able to keep an eye on where he is, but we didn't want to give him a phone as he isn't responsible enough for one at his age. This watch gives us the ability to see where he is all the time. It has a school mode setting so he can't use it during set hours. He is also able to text or call my husband and me to let us know when he's off the bus and on his way home. This has been a game-changer. We don't need to worry about where he is anymore and if he gets off at the wrong spot we can get to him right away.The only downside to this thing is the battery life. He leaves at 7:30 AM with 100% battery and when he gets home at 3:30 PM his battery is at around 15%. This depends on if he's calling or texting before and after his school hours turns on and he can't use it anymore. His teacher did say that he checks the time on it almost all the time so maybe that's a factor here, I'm not sure.It's been so nice to not worry about him anymore and to know that we can contact him if we need to through the app. We can call or text him for updates and the app tracks with automatic location updates, or you can switch to live tracking.Overall, it's a great product and for any parents out there like us who have to worry about where their kids are, it's the perfect solution. It's very affordable and the monthly service contract is way cheaper than a phone ($17.99/month). It was worth it for our anxiety and I'd recommend it to any parent who worries about their kid.

I purchased this device for my disabled child. I’m a pediatric nurse and it was very important that he is able to reach me easily. I went with this watch since his school doesn’t allow cell phones. It has not been reliable from the get-go. I complained to Amazon, I complained to the maker of this watch to no avail. I returned the watch. The maker advised me to buy another one and said the problem would be resolved. Surprise, surprise, it wasn’t. They told me I needed another ds card to put into it. It still didn’t work correctly. I get his messages a day after he writes them. I can’t reach him on the phone because the call doesn’t go through. The battery is short lived, etc. I was told it was due to communication towers. I asked Amazon for a refund, by the way, as of today, they aren’t even offering the watch. What does that tell you. They have many poor reviews on Amazon too. Our child are our most precious possession. It’s even more crucial to have a reliable contact ability when that child has a disability. Although I explained to Amazon the circumstances as to why I didn’t return the item for the second time within their 30 day, I did expect it to be reimbursed. They denied my request. My last thoughts, pay the extra dollars and get a better product. Your child and you may need it.

Get watch and set up in advance as company not open on holidays or weekends and may be closed before and after Xmas. Of giving on Christmas day set it up for operation well before Dec 25th. Or you'll wait some days after Xmas gor operation. Will not be able to get a local # but maybe in same state. Jowever for gull function they want to give you an out of stste phone #. Battery lasts no time. Has to be charged daily. May want to invest in a power bank if child spends night away home. It's was three days before I was able to update pyt from a card I stopped using.Support just gives you a bunch of fluff that the app is not working and they expect you to give your credit card number to an overseas call center. No way in h*** I'm doing that. I should be able to update it on the app.Unable to update pyt in app.So if old card expires or doesn't go thru ONLY THEN WILL YOU BE BE CONTACTED to send your email Addy to get 4 digit code SO YOU CAN UPDATE PYT INFO. Be careful with this as you get an endless loop as you have to go out of that notification yo get the code. You go back to enter the code and it loops you back to a new 4 digit code. You go out of one notification to open email for code the go back to original email to enter code and notification is no good and wants another code.Update from original posts. Was upset as took 2 days to get service. It would've been nice to inform customers to activate by the Dec 23rd as closed Dec 24th-26th.Volume is horrible. Unable to hear if outside, in car with A/C or heater on or window down while driving. Kids have to put up to ear to hear.One thing i hate is battery life. Have to charge nightly the have to turn on in morning snf and place on kids nightstand before leaving to make sure kids know I'm calling.Kids hate wearing as they say uncomfortable band uncomfortable.Pain in the butt to switch pymt. Company not open weekends and unable to get live person on holidays and weekends. Call center expected me to give cc # over ph. Only way to change pyt was to cancel CC. You should be able to change CC pyt info with app. Pretty Shady of company.

This watch has all the features to allow your child to message you and call if needed. It has a GPS tracker to know where they are at all times. It tracks their steps too so keeps them active. When my son broke the screen, customer service sent another one out right away and assisted me with all my questions
