Smirk and Dagger BOOP 2-Player Cat Strategy Board Game

As much as I like getting out a game that takes an hour to play that plays best with four people, sometimes you don't have four people and hours to sit around. Boop has rules which are readily explainable in a few minutes, setup is easy, and you can complete a game in probably 10-20 minutes, even with having to explain the rules. This makes it very appealing to people who aren't going to like to sit through a game that takes 10-20 minutes for board setup and then probably 30 minutes of explanation of the rules. There are elements of other common games present here, like checkers, connect four, dominoes, and othello, so a new player does not feel overwhelmed by the play actions, and it does move fast. In terms of content, there's nothing in this game that's remotely offensive. The game pieces are well made -- cute cats and kittens. Acceptable for any age to play, and you don't need to be able to read to play. The rules do have a variant for younger kids to be able to enjoy the game. Teardown of the game is also very quick, the pieces and board store easily in the box. No complex folding or arranging required.

Wonderful quick game! The pieces are well made with the “bed” being a quality fabric piece and cats/kittens very cute. The instructions are well written and the pictures are an added help. It’ll the age range says 10+ but it does gives instructions on how to play for younger kids too. The normal play was understandable to an 8 year old though. Very pleased with purchase and I think it’s worth the buy and would be a quality gift.

2 player fun. Easy to learn. Simple to understand. Good strategy and quick games.

This game is sooo much fun. My 5 & 7 year old love to play too. The little wooden pieces are super cute and sturdy.

Cute, sweet little game, plays fast, fun even for grown adults (or people pretending to be grown adults). Wooden cat pieces are adorable, although one of my cats came with a head on each side (instead of a head and a tail), making him a favorite for play. The rules take a little thought and then you'll be off playing -- you can play it quick and fast and silly (with kids) or sit there for hours mulling over every possible move (with grownups). We spent the whole time saying "Oh NO I should not have done that" as what looked like a simple move opened up 30 more possibilities, one of which was the opponent immediately winning :D 100% fun, loved this, great for travel (although the box/game board is a little big for, say, airplanes).

It's a good game, but I wouldn't say it's for everyone. About half of our family found it very frustrating, and the other half loved it. You have to be able to think steps ahead and strategize. The pieces are wooden and well made. The quilt game board was also well constructed. For the right people, I could see this becoming a favorite game.

I love cats and my boyfriend loves strategy games, so this was perfect for us. The rules are very easily to understand, and the game is just hard enough to keep you on your toes but not too hard to be frustrating lol! The game design is also adorable and great quality. Would definitely recommend

This is such a charming game and designed so well! I still have to figure out the rules but we have played it and had a great time. The cats want to get involved lol 😂

Package came in a filmsy cover, no bubble wrap. Otherwise all is good!

Muy bonito, buena calidad, divertido, fácil y rápido

This is deceptively more involved than you think it is at first. Very fun, very cute cats and kittens. I love that both sides of the cats and kittens are detailed. Highly recommend for almost any age.

Me encantó que las piezas de gatitos son de madera y su tapetito para jugar está súper lindo y diferente a muchos juegos. Es entretenido y fácil de aprender y explicar

Super fun 2-player game! Also nice and portable if you take all the pieces out of the box, like packing for a trip or camping.
