Q: Ok, stupid question, but what is the tool exactly for and where do you use it? Thanks!

Checks the functioning of each individual electronic fuel injector.My Porsche 928 was idling and running rough through the rev range and i needed to eliminate a blocked or non functioning injector.This tool simplifies what can be a complicated,drawn out and not always precise proceedure.Put simply you earth each injector against the tool and observe the flashing light.A constant flash clears the injector of any fault.Five minutes to test 8 injectors --- Magic!!

Q: Does this work on older cars?

I have never tired it on older car 🚘; but it should work if you car injection because it read the beats from the Electric beat of the injection. But don’t believe it will work on a carburetor it does not have injection; but Throttlebody does!!!
