Maybelline Master Smoky Pencil - Smoky Grey

Just when I find something I love it vanishes from the shops. I was able to find a black pencil in this range some time ago but I find it too much for everyday wear. I love the more muted grey (I also bought a brown at the same time). Soft and easy to apply I really like the sponge at the other end of the pencil to smudge the colour for a smoky look. I will stock up on these pencils before they disappear forever.

This pencil is so hard I think my son could use it at school! Soft smokey eyes impossible as the pressure required to use it indicates it is not a soft smudge able pencil, why they put the smudgy sponge on the end is beyond me but as an eye liner it’s probably ok but still too hard for me.

Arrived today and the only useful part of it is the smudger. It's like trying to draw a line on your eye with a wax crayon, drags the skin, doesn't put any colour down, absolutely useless. Going to see if I can get a refund in case it's just a faulty one.

I've had this pencil in the brown and really liked it so I thought it would be good to get it in black. But disappointed as it it quite had and doesn't seem to glide on easily or smudge. I like to put it on a bit like an eyeliner along top lash line but too hard and would have to press too hard to get desired intensity of colour. Shame but disappointed.

This is the best kohl pencil out there. Have tried many, most too hard and scratchy but this pencil is soft and therefore much kinder to the eye area.It lasts for ages too and will definitely buy again.

Bought one of these last year and when it ran out I got upset I couldn’t source one until by chance it popped up on amazon. Bought 2 love them.
