This inexpensive and small device is simple to use and tests a wide variety of batteries. I have used it several times now and it seems to provide quick and accurate enough results. It tests everything from button cells to nine volt as well as many common small batteries like AA & AAA.

This La Crosse battery tester is an excellent product. It works with a wide variety of voltages and chemistries. I have tried it on alkaline 1.5V (AA, AAA), USB lithium 1.5V (AA), NiMH (AA, AAA), and lithium coin cell 3V (CR2032, etc.) batteries and it appears to give timely and accurate measurements. I love that it is compact so it is easy to store and use on the go. There are a lot of battery testers on Amazon, most of which are Chinese knock offs/generics of a few designs. I appreciate that La Crosse has a unique design with a clear digital readout. You need to know what voltages mean for your particular battery chemistry (1.2V - 1.31V is considered "full" for NiMH batteries, for example), but I much prefer seeing the true voltage readout than generic terms like "good" or "empty". If you are wondering which of the forty different "caliper" or "zigzag" types of battery testers to get on Amazon, don't bother, just get this La Crosse 911-65557-INT one and be happy. The La Crosse 911-65557-INT battery tester is self-powered: powered by the battery that you are testing. There are two points to note about this design. First, if the battery you are testing is truly "dead" (below some critical threshold), nothing will display onscreen because there is no power in the first place. Second, since it is self-powered, the unit itself does not require its own battery so it will always "work" and will not get a corroded battery case because there is no battery case in the first place. If you really need to measure voltage down to the last 0.1V, this product is the wrong product for you. However, if you want to get accurate readings of batteries in various stages, this product is the best one in the price range.

Haven't had this product long, but I have tested a good collection of batteries, all types except button cells. The build quality is very good, the unit is compact and convenient to store, handle and use, the display results are pretty consistent. I have checked its readings against 2 different meters, and the readings are consistent with both. I've used a lot of such devices over many years, and this is a good one. The product description doesn't specifically mention testing regular zinc-carbon batteries, but it does that too. I just returned another one (from China), replaced it with this one. I may just buy another while the product still exists and is good. Unfortunately, I've seen too many good products disappear, to be replaced by junk.

Great small battery tester and just what I needed. It seems to be pretty accurate, easy to read, and I like the small form factor. perfect size and weight for my flight bag. So far, it's holding up and I would definitely buy it again if I had to.

Bought this little battery tester because it gives you a number of volts left. I tested several AAA batteries that were brand new and all appeared to be accurate. The best thing is I didn’t need to add a battery to it. The battery you are testing is the power for the tester. The price was great too. It is very easy to use. Just put the battery in and push down. It is easy to read and super compact. I highly recommend it.

Great little tester. Select your voltage with the little arrow slider and place any battery in it for an accurate reading. Can even test 9v on the other side of the tester. It's compact and very simple to use.

This unit works great for all batteries. It's a bit expensive for a battery tester, but tests many different types of batteries, and gives a good readout of no-load condition. Definitely recommended (I even bought one for my 87-year-old mother).

This is a very simple, versatile and effective tool for testing of batteries at home. Very easy to use and digital display bars really help to know the charge status very effectively. Great and must have tool for this digital age with 10s of batteries lying around at home for so many applications. Very reasonable priced for the quality of the product.

So far so good. The unit seems to be working well and giving accurate results at a reasonable cost. The good thing over other battery checkers is that it can also check 3 volt button batteries whereas others are limited to 1.5 volt when checking the button batteries.
