Well made, strong and easy to use, a very useful product.
Wahl Multi cut Dog clipper set plus DVD.In the box.You get:The clippers with fitted UK mains plug,The Blade guard,4 cutting attachments to adjust the cutting length,Lubricating oil,Cleaning brush,Scissors,Basic instructions booklet,DVD on how to do dog grooming with hints and tips,Hard clam case to store it all.For the money you get quite a lot of kit, the only weak product is the scissors which are not that brilliant. In use.---------This has been bought to replace a similar Wahl cutter that has given up the ghost after 20 years of use on our dogs, horses and me ! The main unit seems identical top our old one and is very well made.It is easy to use and feels like a quality well made item in the hand. It cuts the dogs coat beautify. My wife also uses it to trim the horses whiskers and tail hair. It powers through this with ease. I also get the odd hair cut off it when I am too busy to go into town. To be honest with what hair I have left is does a great job and after two hairs cuts on me the unit has paid for itself. We also save a fortune in dog grooming coats by using this. My wife is quite skilled at cutting our5 dogs ahir now and it looks just as good as if hed been professionally groomed. These cutters are great and do the job well. The cutter is not that noisy and the dogs don't mind it being used on the. The horses are fine too.Wahl cutters.-----------------This company has been making cutter for all sorts of grooming for years. Spare parts are readily available and they provide a blade replacement and sharpening service. This is a quality item.DVD.-------The DVD is useful if you have not used electric or battery cutters before. It goes through the basics of grooming and is ideal for the first-time user or inexperienced. IT is a useful addition to the set.Overall.-----------A very useful item to have around our small holding, it soon pays for itself. We also have a rechargeable version so that we can do take any hair off the animals without having to bring them in. I like this cutter very much and it is built to last like all Wahl products. A highly recommended set.

Wahl worth it...
We were toying with the idea of getting some clippers for our Springerpoo and Cockerpoo. We wanted a respected brand but were put off by the £100-£150+ price tags of some of the high end clippers.Reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews on this Wahl, we thought it had to worth a try - and we're not disappointed. For those who say this doesn't work, I'd suggest looking at instructional DVD. It's pretty short, but very helpful. Some simple 'must-do' tips for best results.1 - these are NOT noise-free. The noise is not intrusive, but is clearly noticeable and, couple with a distinct vibration, is potentially worrying to a dog. Our two were nervous at first, so we just turned the clippers on for 5 minutes a couple of feet away from them and gave them a treat or two. It took 8-10 sessions over a couple of days like this before attempting to cut for the first time.2 - wash, comb/brush your dog first. It stops the clipper blades clogging so easily.3 - keep the clipper blade clean by frequently brushing out build up of fine hair - a build up of hair will hinder contact with the blade. The clippers work well with both dogs - the Springerpoo has a longish, fine, wavy coat while the Cockerpoo has a much tighter curl to her coat with a dense, fine, downy undercoat which can be prone to matting.A decent, effective product and great value :)

Very good!
Dog medium haired jack russle X (bought them so I clip my boyfriends nans dog)These clippers come in it little own kit mobile box which I thought was great and very handy. However there are no sections in side the box to hold the clippers in place so they are rocking around a bit in there so just be careful when taking them places :)They came with attachments which where plastic and good to use, I used the longest one first which did not touch the dogs hair much, so I went down in size and the only one that made the real difference was the shortest which was fine because it gave a nice short soft look, (not bald cut)so I was quite pleased that there was an attachment giving me what I wanted. You will have to careful when clipping and keep and eye on the blade and attachment as hair sometimes covers the blades. (this will affect the clipping if not removed) just give it a blow or take the attachment off and give them a quick wipe.(also watch out for them getting hot so you don't burn the dog)They did not get very hot with me, but just a bit of advise in case.I was worried about the noise of the clippers as Alf is quite a nervous dog with noises as I found out when I groomed him at college before. However these clippers where not noisy, they did not make chrokes or crackling noises, just a heavy vibration noise which did not seem to bother Alf too much. The scissors are also good for tidying the face, feet and tail. It did not take too long too clip him and I got great results, plus they came really fast. I also bought thinning scissors with mine to tidy him up more. I recommend these, great price and value.

Okay clippers..
I think these clippers are okay but they definitely aren’t for every coat type. Bought for my incredibly fluffy, dense coated cat as he struggles to groom himself and matts up (and hates being brushed). They would get stuck in his fur in some areas and just not pick the hair up to cut it in others. I would have to hold the hair up section by section with one hand and cut with the other. So i can’t really rate the quality or cutting ability of these clippers as they struggled with my cats fur. They are quite loud with a loud click when turned on and off. The clippers feel ok but the guards are very cheap feeling and can bend easily. In all it would take me over an hour to do my cats fur so it really was a slow struggle. Since changing clippers i’ve found it can be done in ten minutes so these really weren’t the fasted to getting it done.
