Having tried other devices, like the metal backed foam attachment that ends up being too big and heavy, obscuring your view and dragging the microphone anglepoise down, I was looking for an alternative.From the images, I was not sure this would fit my Rode NT1-A in it's shockmount, it was hard to tell if the pictures provided were genuine or constructed.One of the previous reviews mentioned the Rode mic and so I decided to order the foam isolator. While waiting for the delivery, I was concerned that it might actually be a lot smaller than it looked in the images - it wasn't!As you can see, it's fairly large, the NT1-A sits in it quite nicely, there is no obstruction of the mic to the front and all noise from the sides and rear is absorbed. I'm very pleased with the properties of this shield, I use it without the pop filter as I have always been able to avoid hitting the mic with plosives and it sounds quite clear.The short audio in the video was recorded in a room with no other sound deadening or absorbing material at all. There is no evidence of echo or reflected sound and it gives the voice a nice prominence. Very happy with my purchase!

I STRONGLY advise anyone who wants a great product for a very reasonable price !I have been using this on my Rode NT1A for sometime now and the results have been fantastic, it really kills my reflection issues and gives me great vocal recordings !!
