Best entry level FPV kit for beginners.
To preface this, prior to owning this drone the ONLY experience flying I had was with a DJI drone that basically flew itself. I honestly didn't realize how difficult flying a drone actually is. I'll leave advice based on my experience at the end. This is by far the best kit to get you up in the sky ASAP. If you aren't sure you'll like this hobby and don't wanna invest too much in something you aren't sure you'll stick with, this is what you're looking for. Build quality is good, and the flight time it gives you is about 8-10 minutes with the lipos provided in the kit. It's also quite durable as I attempted to fly it several times before trying a simulator and crashed every time. That leads me into my advice. If you own a PC, Mac, or steam deck - PLEASE fly in a simulator first. Give it at least 5-10 hours before using the drone. Yes, you can probably get off the ground with angle mode, but that's not why you bought this drone. You bought this because you saw people doing sick tricks and flying fast. This drone will do that. I tried several sims, however I highly suggest using "Liftoff". You can download this drone on steam workshop and it flies very similar to real life. You can use the provided radio(controller) to fly in game and it's so worth it as well as being fun! I also suggest buying another set of props(it comes with an extra set, but when you use this drone as a lawn mower it breaks them down quickly). You can also get 550mAh lipos from betafpv that work perfectly with the cetus x and it'll give it another minute or 2 of flight time, as well as a whoopstor 3 to charge 6 batteries at the same time. All of these can be found on amazon, minus the drone sim. I'd also like to add that I had a minor issue with a component, and betafpv went above and beyond, so I'd say their customer service is quite good. They replied quickly, addressed my question and immediately provided a solution. 10/10

Radio is unusable
I just picked this up at the beginning of June and barely 2 weeks later the radio control isn't working properly. After looking up the issue it seems that these radios (lite radio 3) have a common problem with the gimbals failing. As for mine it started having issues with the throttle control and has this "jitter issue" and wants to speed up even if if you're not touching the gimbals. If i wasn't inside it would've flown away. The drone itself is very fun but these radios aren't very good so be prepared to spend more money on just replacing the radio. I wouldn't bother with this kit after learning it's common issues

Incredible Beginner-Friendly FPV Drone with Great Performance
To start I really like this drone. It’s analog so the footage isn’t the best and the camera is highly sensitive so the camera has needed up broken several times. Luckily Amazon support is very good, unfortunately BetaFPV’s isn’t. As a beginner in the FPV drone world, the BetaFPV Cetus X has been a fantastic choice for getting into the hobby. The drone is well-designed, lightweight, and comes with everything you need to get started right out of the box, including the goggles and controller. Pros: • Stable flight: For a beginner drone, the Cetus X offers great stability in the air. It has a smooth, responsive control system that makes it easy to fly, even in light winds. I was impressed by how steady it remained when flying in more open areas. • User-friendly: The drone’s setup is simple, and the controller feels comfortable in hand. It took only a couple of hours to get the hang of it. The included goggles provide a solid FPV experience, which made the learning curve less intimidating. • Versatile: The Cetus X offers three different flight modes, which is perfect for gradually increasing your skill level. It has a great mix of beginner-friendly features and advanced options that you can explore as you progress. • Durability: The build quality feels solid, and I’ve had no issues with parts breaking or malfunctioning, even after a few crashes (which, let’s face it, happens when learning!). Cons: • Limited battery life: The battery life isn’t the longest, with about 8-10 minutes of flight time per charge. While it’s acceptable for short practice sessions, I find myself having to swap batteries frequently for longer flights. • Not great for high winds: While it’s stable in light winds, the drone does struggle a bit in stronger gusts. It’s definitely better suited for calm weather or indoor flights. • No 4K camera: While the camera does a decent job, it’s not the highest quality. If you’re looking for 4K or ultra-high-definition footage, this might not be the right choice, but for a beginner, it’s more than adequate.

Great RTF kit
Great for outdoors, can maintain good control in 15mph wind or below, good for indoors if the interior is spacious or an experienced pilot. Fast and durable and can withstand crashes. I would say it’s moderately difficult to control with little to no experience because of the high sensitivity of the controls. Drone worked perfectly out of the box

Everything but the Controller is great
The Cetus X is a great beginner drone like everyone says. But its for casual use. I constantly found myself running the Drone chip temp. High. Ended up buying a pack of 550 Lipo batteries to pick up an extra min of flight. But found myself Running the 550s out of power by the 4 min mark. Also bought Liftoff: Micro from Steam to learn to fly before I flew the real thing. The game does have the Cetus X in the prebuilds. Flies close to the real thing so it was easy to Move from Level mode to Acro mode by the end of 3 days. Now the bad part. The controller. In the Image I posted you can see one of the gimbal connecters was basically not plugged in. I mainly used the controller for Liftoff and had little real drone time with it. From what I found the Red Wire was hardly connected into the Goop of White clay or putty that is covering the end cap. The connecting job is pretty crappy so expect the controller to give out soon. As you will see others say also. They do have repair parts and other controllers on their site. But do take this into consideration before buying. The controller quality is lacking. All in all a great drone and bundle just wish they would give better quality assurance to their accessories.

PERFECT first FPV Drone
If you want to learn FPV, buy this drone. I bought this drone about 2 months ago as a complete newbie. I can now confidently fly on Air/Acro mode, shoot gaps, and do stunts. This drone has taken a BEATING. I’ve hit my house, trees, light poles, concrete, the occasional small child (kidding), and myself (wish I was kidding). Despite how hard I’ve crashed this thing, it flips back over and gets right into the air every time. It has scratches, gouges, and a nice coat of green grass to prove it. The VR03 goggles are great. Throw a 32gb memory card (can’t go higher than 64) and you can record your flights. Some people use this headset with other drones. The drone itself doesn’t have the best range, but it’s enough to learn on. More than about 150 feet and you’re gonna get bad static. Poor penetration too, don’t fly behind buildings. This is the perfect entry level drone. It takes a beating, has 3 fly modes from beginner to experienced, and the controller feels great. Buy yourself a few more sets of batteries because you’re going to want to get more flight time.

Great kit, however it should use some refinement form BetaFpv
The quad flys well and is very light weight/compact. It’s a good concept but I feel the dual 1s batteries with 2 plugs was the downfall to this quad. Package arrived with one battery already puffed so I only had one set of batteries to fly on. I could get ~2 min of flight time before it would give met the sub7v land now alarm. I felt like this drone didn’t give me the satisfaction of flight so I returned it to buy a 2s quad that can support a single 750mah battery. Buying the BetaFpv Pavo Femto. Hopefully this other quad from them doesn’t let me down as well.

Amazing beginner kit from BetaFPV
This drone is very beginner friendly for learning how to fly FPV. With the three modes it comes with, the more confident you become with flying, the more you can push your limits. It is very durable and has take many crashes when I was learning. Working on the drone is straight forward, get a replacement frame, turn a couple of screws, plug in the motors, and keep flying! Overall, I am very satisfied with the Cetus X, it is fast, durable, and a great gateway into the world of FPV!
