Philips LED 12.5 W (100 W) E27 A60 Edison bulb, cold ground daylight, 6500 K

LED lightbulbs have always been a bit tricky. I've gone through several different makes and brands and soon found this to go into my bedroom light fitting.I like the wattage, though I've had 8W LEDs that have actually been brighter than 10W LEDs so I'm always unsure whether it'll actually be bright. Luckily, this one's great. Out of all the bulbs I've tried it's certainly the brightest. Light fills the room much nicer than any of my previous bulbs. The pictures I've attached don't really do it justice because of my automatic focus and lighting. However, it's certainly as bright as I needed and wanted. I'm confident that it is as bright, if not brighter, than an old 100W bulb.The colour temperature is also good, cool white is always my preference. It's easy to see but not blinding. The room is bright and doesn't feel dim or dark, which tends to happen with warm white LEDs.The fitting and quality is good. Went easily into my lampshade no problems. It's not too big that it pokes out either. It feels very durable, it'll definitely survive knocks and drops. The light worked first time and hasn't given and rouble so far. It also lights up instantly which is expected with LEDs.I recommend this product as it's what you need. I've spent more money trying to find cheaper alternative lightbulbs that work well enough than I would have just buying a more expensive one in the first place. This bulb is very bright. I use it in an outside dawn to dusk lantern and it lights up the surrounding area great without being obtrusive to my neighbours as the light isn't directed in just one area.It is 100 watt brightness equivalent and only uses 12 watt of power.It will be interesting to see whether this lasts for the 10 years or 50000 hours that most of these LED bulb sellers tell you it will. ( the lasted less than a quarter of this! ) This is a great for security and peace of mind.

I have other daylight bulbs with same 6500K, and lumens as this bulb. Yes they are cheaper, but the Phillips one gives a nice natural bright light. I am using it in a crystal lamp that I bought, and have it on my dressing table to use to help with Sad & use as a makeup light. This light is not glaring, or blue, and gives a nice bright sunny reflection off the wall where it is situated. It makes me feel happier & brighter on those cloudy gloomy days, and is a lovely start to the morning. I now want to buy some more to put in my ceeling lights. Also this bulb is smaller than my other LED ones and looks more elegant. It is around the same size as the old incadescent bulbs.

I use this in combination with an exo terra dome on a mini tall terrarium and it works wonders for my plants. It warms slightly so I wouldn't use it for a terrarium with anything that need very cool temperatures but it's perfect for my praying mantis and will be perfect for a micro gecko that will move in after the mantis. Definitely getting more of these for my other terrariums that don't need much extra heat but need light for the plants.

Wow!!! Turned the light on and the entire day flooded my room!!! Amazing light temperature!!! I can't say yet how long it's going to last but knowing Phillips it will be well worth the price... But the color and brightness of this light bulb is better than anything I have used in the past...items labeled as "craft light bulb" don't even come close to this one. Thank you Phillips!

This light bulb is perfect, thanks to Philips for this product and thanks to the many customers who provided detailed and honest reviews, of which I will echo similar thoughts. Very Bright, Very Low Heat and now my office is a joy to work in. I highly recommend this product and will order again in the future if I require additional items. ***Note that this review is for the bulb on the left in the photo, and that I wrote the same remarks for the a different bulb on the right of photo in another review***

Haven't measured the efficiency savings but generally happy with the performance when compared with tungsten filament bulbs. My only quibble is that they are not truly dimmable - if we say that 1 is lowest and 10 is brightest, these start at 3 or 4.

I've bought cheap lights in the past that don't give off much light, even though they are supposed to be 100 watt equivalents. It was worth paying more for these bulbs, these are quality bulbs, they're bright and appear to be the power they say they are. I can't say much about how long they will last, but most LED bulbs outlast normal bulbs.
