Q: I have some spple tree seedlings and was wondering what color i should use and at what distance i should place the lights?

I put the full light on my seedlings all day until I went to bed then turned them back on first thing every morning. I made sure the seedlings were watered same as a plant. Even when they grew out, I still put the light on them until ready for potting. YouTube has a lot of videos for that too.

Q: How wide does the clamp really open? someone said 1 inch. i really hope that it opens wider. thanks in advance for your help.

It opens to about 2 inches maybe. I don’t know that it is meant to clamp to something that wide. It is a very stiff clamp. Mine is clamped to a 1 inch board. I don’t think it would clamp properly to something wider.
