The Will Harris Murders: November 13, 1906, a Night in Which Asheville Was a Tougher Town Than Tombstone and Dodge City Rolled into One Paperback – December 19, 1996

I had no idea that Asheville was at one time a "Shoot`em`up" town. Thomas Wolfe wrote about this incident in his "Child by Tiger." Bob Terrell wrote about the incident as a Newspaper Reporter with Access to the old Asheville Newspapers. (There was a page that mentioned my grandfather's Undertaking Parlor) Great Book! A historical perspective.

Great book, by one of my favourite authors. I first saw the mention of Will Harris in "Grampa's Town", by Bob Terrell, and this gives much greater detail of what occurred in turn of the century Asheville, NC history.

As always, I love bob Terrell's books. This one was particularly fun and informative about because the characters involved apparently still haunt our weirdly, wonderful town.

This is a great little book. Very interesting read.
