I bought these for both fridges as my dog was opening the fridge on a regular basis in search of chicken. I've had a few close calls with the fridge being left open and overheating whilst trying to cool the entire utility room as he obviously hadn't learnt to close it again. These work really well. You can choose the angle to attach them - I have one stuck to the side of a door on one fridge and on the front of another fridge - and once stuck they are really not coming off. They are opened multiple times a day and there is no apparent wear at all in the few months they've been there. You have to squeeze two sides together firmly to open them (both ends are detachable) so I guess this would be tough for little kids to master, but not having kids I don't know how dexterous they'd be. I can say with certainty that it's flummoxed the dog :D EDIT: I wrote this review in March 2018 after I'd been using the latches for quite some time. It's now May 2019 and both are still working perfectly. They've not budged, still firm and continue to be opened multiple times a day. Can't rate these highly enough :D EDIT AGAIN: It's the end of April 2020, both latches are still firmly attached, fully functional and still used multiple times a day. Have to say, they are a superb buy, don't hesitate. Oh and the dog has now taken to waiting for me to open the catches before shouldering me aside so he can have a nosy in the fridge. FINAL EDIT: It's March 2021, nearly 3 1/2 years since the latches were put on, they're still there, fully functional, nothing broken or snapped and they're still opened/closed multiple times a day. Sadly I lost my boy a couple of weeks ago but despite being nearly 15, mostly blind and deaf he still knew where the fridges were right to the end and patiently stared in their direction waiting for them to open. I miss rummaging for snacks with him. Anyway, great locks, don't hesitate, they're simple but built to last. I added another couple of pictures so you can see what they look like after a few years of use. FOLLOW UP: Both fridges dies in the same week at Christmas 2021, it was slightly traumatic. I figured I'd try save the catches and slid a flat blade between the sticker and the fridge. They came off really easily with no damage and all I need to get to use them again is some more strong 3M sticky pads. I was super impressed. Also turns out that it may have been me leaving the fridge open upon occasion as after a few months with my new fridge - that has an excellent seal - I've found it open once or twice and I've no dog to blame! Oops. I probably ought to install one of the catches again eh.

This is an excellent product easy to install and has great adhesive pads that fix into place securely. I bought this a my fridge would not stay closed on the doors magnetic strip and the fridge is only a year old so I was disappointed until I found this guard latch it made it close properly and no more fridge door coming open. I'm disabled and use an electric wheelchair i found it easy to fit and easy to use it's not fiddly or awkward to open at all. One thing I did do was clean the surface with alcohol wipe to remove any residue on the fridge as I do polish my white goods and to ensure the pads stuck on I just cleaned the areas left to dry and it's stuck perfectly. I use my fridge a lot so it's used all day and night with no issues at all after one week it's still stuck on securely. I can totally recommend this product and as it's easy for adults to use as long as they have good dexterity but children would not be able to open it as it's need a firm press of both the buttons to open it as you can see in the picture it just clips off

I have tried several child proofing solutions in the past. I was originally reticent to try a product which attached to the outside of my cupboards, for obvious aesthetic reasons. Unfortunately, all previous attempts have failed. Internal magnetic locks have failed, with the magnets not always engaging so not allowing cupboards to open, adhesive failing or worst of all just ripping off entirely, often taking some of the cupboards internals with them. I have now abandoned the dream of hidden locks, and I'm glad I have. In these Lindam locks, I think we have the solution. They are so easy to install, taking seconds. Peal and place. Done (well, they do need to cure for 24 hours after taking the backing off, but that's no hardship). They provide a good strong lock and the adhesive seems really strong. Not sure how easy they will be to take off after the kids are old enough though! The fact you can see them and can confirm they are locked is also an advantage I never considered while using the internally locking products. Very pleased and have ordered some more!

I put this on my fridge and can happily say it is wolf-dog proof. A little background: My wolf-dog is an avid food connoisseur who sadly does not understand the various forms of etiquette one should follow when at the dinner table or in the kitchen. The only polite rule Wolfie seems to abide by is not disturbing the host with unnecessary requests; he does so by quietly opening the fridge and helping himself to whatever seems to please his palate at the given moment. The only way one would even know he had been in the fridge was the saddening absence of the really good cheese you were hiding in the bottom shelf, or the scottish smoked salmon you were saving for the next episode of Game of Thrones. My fridge had become the vessel of shadows of past foods and frozen tears. This child lock has been a great teaching lesson for the pig that is my dog. I must admit I had initially bet against the lock; I had given it a maximum of two days survival in this household. I am, however, pleased to say the lock has surpassed all of my expectations, and has been the undisputed and undefeated winner in this war. I can honestly say this is one bet I was more than happy to lose. This is truly a great lock, easy enough for us adult humans to place, and simply hard enough for very intelligent pig-wolfs (I'm guessing little human cubs too) to open. Hurrah!

The guard latch is amazing and works very well. Only problem I had was the plastic strap was a bit small and therefore it restricts it's usage in many places. So hence a star less. Otherwise great product.

I bought 2 catches for new my fridge freezer. Ive left it quite a long time to do a review to make sure they didn't break or the glue come unstuck but they still work perfectly. I used to have a different type on my under counter fridge and my strong and energetic 2 year old could force it open and can open most of the child catched kitchen cupboards but can't open these or force them open. It says to stick on and leave 24hrs before use for the glue to adhere properly and its now really stuck on. Theyre easy to use too. Just push in the top and bottom buttons to release or re-attach. Im really happy with them and would definitely use again and recommend to family and friends.

The fridge door in our campervan is forward facing. When it is fully loaded the contents are heavy and can force open the door when going down hill or breaking quickly. The content of the fridge then end up all over the floor while you are driving. This latch is perfect and easy to install and use. Pressing together two switched on opposing sides pops it open and to close it you simply push the latch on to the clip on the side of the fridge - this is secured with double sided adhesive pads that come with the clasp. Works 100% of the time that my wife remembers to snap the latch closed - which is about 25% of the time! :(

I love these locks. I tried different ones before and they either can be ripped off/unglued with enough pressure, or are too easy for a baby to figure out. My 1.5yo have mastered all the other locks and this one still causes him issues. It's amazing. Not only strong and difficult to remove even for an adult (by that I mean the adhesive is that great), and the actual lock part needs enough pressure and wiggle to open for a child that they're not going to figure it out too soon. I will be moving house soon so will definitely be ordering more of these cuz they are a life saver.

Se trata de un cierre robusto y de calidad. El pegamento pega tan bien, que uno de los lados me quedó un poco torcido y sin hacer presión todavía ya estaba completamente pegado, por lo que ya no lo moví. No he probado otros cierres, pero éste, a pesar de ser algo caro, funciona muy bien y parece resistente y duradero. Para mi, ahora que mi bebé abre la nevera y saca todo lo que encuentra, éste sistema de cierre me resulta muy útil. 👍 Es fácil de abrir y cerrar. Lo suelo tener abierto y cuándo veo que empieza a abrir la nevera, lo cierro enseguida y se acabó el problema. Antes tenía que "sacar" a mi bebé de la nevera o ir por la cocina recogiendo yogures, lechugas... 😅 Espero haberte ayudado a tomar tu decisión.

el mejor en su categoría, es verdad que lo pagas pero os aseguro que dura años, llevo ya con el 3 años y esta duro como una piedra de muy buena calidad y esta a años luz de la competencia, tengo otro bb y los volvere a comprar, os recomiendo 100 x 100 aunque os parezca mas caro que otras opciones, este producto lo vale mil veces mas que otros baratos, porque estaréis todo el dia usandolo ya que cerrara armarios puertas etc, después de 3 años no se a despegado y estéticamente es mas bonito que los demás. no lo dudéis comprarlo
