Boyajian Pure Lemon Oil, 100ml

I'm on my second bottle of this and it lasts soooo long. I love it. My new bottled arrived July '24 and expires Oct 25 so thats well over a year, but the expiry date is a bit misguided. The first bottle was well beyond its expiry date and was still using it as it remained perfect in baking and tasted just as great as the first week it was bought. If kept refridgerated the contants do not deteriorate or foul. I usually use this in cakes, icings, buttercream and buttermilk pancakes, some people use only drops but I'm more of a 'half teasoon' type. But, warning, it is very strong and you should experiment with working up from the smaller measures til you find the right level for your recipes. Too much will seriously be overkill and spoil your creations. It also smells quite strong too. That said, it is entirely natural and the flavour tastes perfect to fresh lemons. It doesn't affect recipe colour in the quantities used and is generally heat stable. I cannot fault this product at all. I have the orange variety one too which boasts all of the same qualities but is slightly more subtle. I've just ordered the lime to experiement with... maybe try a mojito ot two?!

Incredible stuff. I bought it more for marinades and drinks, rather than baking. After reading some feedback. I decanted some into a 10ml droplet bottle so I could dispense sparingly. Just as well, as this stuff is megga powerful. Two tiny drops in a very large gin and tonic. Too much. One drop is more than enough. One tiny drop in a pint of iced water. Perfect. Bonkers that a pin head of this oil can change everything. Tastes and smells entirely natural, as it should. But use with caution. this stuff is powerful. I used it today, included in my BBQ tandoori chicken marinade. Jointed whole Chicken allowed to marinade overnight in a bag. probably about 2ml used with spices and sour cream etc. Awesome fresh lemon kick after BBQ cooking. This stuff is so good. Smells, tastes and has the same hit as fresh lemon zest x10. Expensive but worth every penny if you love lemon zest. David .

Very lemony! Used to make a lemon flavoured olive oil for dressing etc. Very nice and lasts ages!

I have used this product for years and bought this bottle for my daughter. Although it may seem a bit expensive, a bottle will last most people for years. It lasts on the shelf, but I keep mine in the fridge. I have had my current bottle for 6 years and it is still fine. I keep litre bottles of water in the fridge and add a couple of drops of lemon oil to each one. It gives the water a very subtle lemon flavor. The oil is also wonderful for baking, but only use small amounts. A few drops of lemon oil is all you need to add to most foods, which is why this small bottle lasts years.

Wonderful product, makes baking cake taste excellent. So why only four stars, well I received the item promptly, but when I checked the use by date .... JUNE 2020 !!! I mean come on, a little of this goes a really long way and at almost £22 per bottle of 100 mls, I was kind of expecting a bit longer on the use by date !!!! So I’ll have to use what I can and the purchase another bottle and hope its got a longer date ! Come on ..... play fair and check your dates before you send out your products.

This stuff is magic!! Try this in your lemon drizzle cake!! You won't go back to your usual way if making it!! Fabulous!!!

For anyone who thinks that this is too expensive, please consider how many lemons would be required to make that quantity of pure oil and how long it lasts (only a tiny amount is needed). The flavour is amazing and anyone serious about cooking in general and baking in particular shouldn't be without this product (also the orange oil, which is equally superb). You can carry on using cheaper flavourings and have an inferior taste or stump up the money for this one and have everyone who tastes your cakes and biscuits raving about them and telling you what a talented baker you are. The choice is yours.
