Absolutely gorgeous
A little expensive I suppose, but “ wow “ worth every penny. Tasty, moist, nice and thick texture , packed with fruit. I highly recommend this cake. I like my cake with a bit of cheese, Wensleydale and cranberry especially. I will defo be buying more.

Looks okay
(10 months ‘sell by date’ on this cake) - Cake looks a good buy, inexpensive, good looking cake, well presented - and the tin is fab. I sent this cake to 3 households for the 80th D-Day celebrations on 05/06/2024. . tastes good. Thank you Glacé cherries didn’t stand out very much like on the advert photo but plenty of them.

cherry & almond cake
A small cake for the money. It came in a dented tin. It is a very sticky cake, an odd flavour to it but but not unpleasant. It is crammed with currants & smothered with almonds on the top. I will not buy another.

Delicious
Got as a celebration cake for dad. He loves his heavy fruit cake, but we'd assumed impossible to get other than at Christmas. Comes in a lovely tin, packed with fruit and nuts, how there was cake there is a mystery. Soft and moist

More a pudding than a cake. Disappointing.
I expect to be able to slice a "cake" so that my guests can pick it up to eat. This, however, is more like a stodgy pudding. Impossible to cut as the pressure of the knife causes it to flatten and fall apart. Instead of a slice you get a pile of damp pieces. All in all not good, and given the price a great disappointment. Flavour is not bad but let down by everything else about it. Definitely NOT recommended.
