Astonish C1576 750ml Tar and Insect Remover

I've used Astonish products for a while, this stuff is priced reasonably cheap but works well. Recommended.

We rarely use our car but when we do, we go abroad or to the country side and then, it being a sizeable Chelsea tractor, it is very hard to avoid these poor bugs and flies. Removing their sticky mess is typically hard, but this Astonish wash works like a charm. Can’t comment on the tar-removing attribute as I don’t think I’ve ever needed to remove tar from my black car.Anyway, after being constantly disappointed by the nearby car wash services we bought a discount set of Astonish product about a year ago. Several of these sprays positively surprissed us. Like this insect remover. So now that we ran out, I’m glad I could replenish and complete our Astonish range again by ordering the individual spray bottles. Even though I found the individual bottle a little expensive.I should say that the shape of the bottle we received is different than the one displayed on the listing page though exactly the same as we had in our existing set.

For me the product worked like a charm on removing sticky insects. I often drive to visit my parents in a route filled with fields that have a lot of flying insects.After those trips the hood and windshield look just horrible.Standard body shampoo and pressure wash don't usually have any effect.I use this product after the pressure wash. Simply spray it all over the insects and after it wash them off with a sponge and water.I gave only 4 stars, as I didn't really have issues with sticky Tar - so can't say about that aspect.But for insect problems - this is a good value for money.

Astonish Tar & Insect Remover is really good at shifting the smeary film that builds up on the windscreen. Either just spray a bit on and use the wipers, or rub with a rag. If you use a rag and leave it to dry, there will be a misty film on the window. Just give it a sqirt of windscreen washer and flip the wipers and you are good to go.I keep one in the car. It lasts for months.

Very good for the money indeed. Removes bugs with ease, tar is a bit stickier to remove (my fault for the tar being months old I would say) but overall it's a very good product. I purchased it with the 49p bug shifter sponge on amazon which has also made light work of this chore.

sort of does what it says it does but later found it much cheaper in local discount stores
