Q: How do these compare to sidewinders and boulders, in size? My box is a fairly snug fit for those

These are larger than boulders (3.88x2.99x2.95) but appear to be slightly smaller but comparable to sidewinders (4.37x3.9x3.35). I think these are 4.13x3.54x3.15.

Q: Sure doesnt look like leather?

It isn't. I own quite a few of these and they're certainly not as nice as leather. They are pretty good and sturdy though.
