This lamp shade / paper lantern / light shade is made from authentic rice paper. Easy installation Permanent room lighting When used as permanent room lighting, paper lanterns / light shades / lampshades are simply clipped over the standard light pendant cord. No electrical connection is required to the shade so no DIY skills are required. If you have an existing ceiling fitting you may be able to plug in a short converter, available from some electrical suppliers to convert it into a pendant type fitting. The convertor is a short cable with a pendant fitting on one end and a fitting to plug into a normal light fitting at the other end. Temporary decorative lighting using battery powered lights. A battery operated LED light or torch can be suspended from a cord and the lantern / shade simply clipped over / tied to the cord.
