Really fresh tasting!
For some reason green peppers are getting hard to come by and when the local shops do stock them they look crumpled and sad. Adding insult to injury they cost more than the multi-packs sans the greens and as much singly as the large, plump, yellow and red peppers. However, in lots of recipes green peppers are non-negotiable least the dish tip into sickly sweet.I bought these pepper flakes on a whim and am really glad that I did. When they arrived I was not too sure as I had imagined the pieces to be a little coarser. I have sea salt granules bigger than these pepper flakes! I need not have worried. I tried them out in a chili and to my utter delight although I couldn't see them when I first stirred them into the pot there was an unmistakable aroma of the sort of green pepper you buy at a market on holiday, the sort that's actually basked in the sun. As the chili simmer away the little granules rehydrated until I could see little, vivid, green flecks. Once the chili was finished I was impressed by the distinct green pepper note which is really saying something when you consider the amount of hot chilies, cumin, and garlic in there. The little pieces were completely cooked too. You could not tell that they had been dried.Since then I've also tried the green peppers in rice dishes with success. I think that the fineness of the pieces would lend themselves to all kinds of dips, they could be added to sausage meat or mince burgers too. I will be reordering when I run out because it's just such a handy thing to have in the cupboard.EDIT: It's April 2020 and I'm still buying this product as a cupboard staple. It's still lovely but at the moment it's more dust than flakes due to being pummelled in the post. I am making allowances due to the ongoing situation and the stress on delivery services, but it means it's not suitable for all my regular usages. I hope that this is a temporary blip.

Brilliant
From the moment I opened the packet, I was hit by the aroma of the peppers. Beautiful gorgeous. I purchased these to add to soups, and rice. My initial gut feeling was that this may have been on the expensive side, but ... let me tell you .. the quality of product is outstanding ! ! I have it stored in an air tight container, and it measures out to about 200 ml for volume. Value for money ??? Oh yes !!!

Disappointed
Pretty much ground rather than flaked and on the front it says ‘see rear for best before date’. There was a sticker over the date just giving weight and bar code. Scraped sticker off to find the best before is 12/21 - just 2 weeks away! Why would you buy dried goods that you have to use quickly? 🤷♀️ Selling old stock off obviously. Shame.

Excellent!
I wanted to stock up on dried/long life food items to last me a little longer during this covid19 lockdown. I often make soups and I like to add flavourful ingredients. I never tried dried bell peppers before and I was pleasantly surprised. As soon as you open the packet, you can smell the ‘real’ thing! I have used it in soups and you can really taste these dried bell peppers. Not like other dried food items that don’t taste or smell like anything. These are great and versatile. I even tried them in a cheese omelette to add a bit of flavour and it came out great. Excellent service from seller, Chilli Wizards LTD. Arrived within two days. Highly recommended product and seller. Thank you.

Popular regularly bought product
They are the size of a regular chilli flake but with none of the heat. They rehydrate really nicely and add a really hearty richness to any sauce/dish that ordinarily has peppers (capsicums) in.
