100% would recommend as its 100% waterproof. I think breathability in coats is mostly a marketing game, I find they always permeate water in the end in driving rain and with cycling. The coat is loose enough to allow for some airflow, especially with wind. Best have long sleeves as it doesn't feel amazing on bare skin.

SIZING: The sizing is slightly smaller that the size indication. I generally wear size S. This is a just ever so slightly smaller version of an S. This is a Autumn/Winter jacket, meaning you will wear a warming layer underneath it. Consider a size larger than you normal size is my advise. PRODUCT: This is fisherman style jacket. The colour is vibrant. It is more workwear, but works as urbanwear too. It has no zis, just buttons on double flap. QUALITY: Very well made. Good hood and pockets.

I'm not quite sure why I bought this item. It's ideal for trawlermen and Mancunian hobos (before you complain, I am from Manchester). I mean, it does what it says on the tin and keeps the rain at bay, but I think that I over-engineered the solution. Frankly, it makes you sweat like a pig and lacks any semblance of sartorial style. I don't know. Oh, and it's not that cheap. Seriously, if you are a country dog walker in the North West then this could be the answer. I got the bright yellow version (wish I'd got green) which means, as a bonus, you are extremely visible on the King's highway.

I work with an outdoor volunteer conservation group, in all weathers, and this jacket is just what I was looking for. Perfectly keeps me dry. I am a woman size 10 and agonised over what size to buy. I finally went with the M, and it is just right, roomy enough to work in but doesn’t swamp me. I think a S would have been too small.
