WiltonJungle Animals Fondant and Gum Paste Mould

The animals came out well once I got the knack of using the mould, needs practice - don't try and do in a rush, give yourself plenty of time and you'll get great results.

Wilton animal fondant mould is easy and handy to use, could make the animal shapes within no time, without any mess. Quality is appreciable.

Good quality, with clearly defined edges. Works well. A lot of shapes for the money

The outcome is not as the one you may see at the pictures. You have to use a fine brush to paint the details (lion,giraffe,the pink in the elephant ears) but I do not believe this is such a problem. Just use paste color in a small amount of vodka or other consumable alcohol.My problem was with the tree. The depth of the mould is not as I expected it to be, so the branches do not come out alone but with the background that should be "the sky". It comes out as a whole brown thing. In order to succeed the tree image, I had to use the sky colored fondant and then use a brush to paint the tree with dark brown color.Maybe I am used to other wilton moulds where all shapes come out exact and clear, but this one surprised me a bit negatively. Despite all that, I think it is a good mould, not great, just good. Excellent quality silicone, easy to work with (use wilton's cake spray for greasing and a bit of tylo/cmc/tragacanth in your fondant)

Very good quality. Was my first attempt at sugar craft so took a little while to get the knack ! Just a note to other first timers , if you are putting on the side of a round cake don't make in advance keep animals soft so they mould round the cake ! saves making them twice as I did ! Also take time the results are great.

Nice and thick

Nice little mould but some of the details just don't work as too fine. If you want to make the giraffe, elephants or clouds then this is OK but the rest don't work well. I use a lot of moulds for fondant and the trees on this mould are impossible. The monkey is hit and miss as is the grass. It's a good quality mould but for using with fondant it's only any good for the larger animals.

Lots of goes to get something solid out, giraffe is very effective once you paint the spots
