## Description

Product Description Product Description Make your flight and racing simulation games even more realistic with the CH Products Pro Pedals. The experience of flying simply cannot be captured with a joystick alone. With three axis of control, the CH Pro Pedals mimic the movement of the pedals found in many aircraft. Pressure sensitive heel-toe motion gives you differential toe braking, while a spring-to-centre forward and backward sliding motion lets you control the rudder. And with the included pedal chocks, the rudder axis can be locked in place, converting the Pro Pedals into an automotive gas and brake setup for driving and racing games. With a large, heavy base and non-slip rubber feed, the Pro Pedals stay firmly planted on the floor during flight. Designed and manufactured in the U.S., the Pro Pedals uses much of the same industrial materials and components that are used in their heavy equipment, military, and medical controller markets. The Pro Pedals are nearly indestructible with military-grade plastic and solid construction, and will outlive the 2 year warranty. Adding the Pro Pedals to your system is easy simply connect the pedals to an available USB port and you're ready to go. There are no drivers to download, and the Pro Pedals are compatible with all editions of Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, as well as Mac OSX. A seven-foot USB cable makes it easy to position the pedals where they're the most comfortable and accessible. The Control Manager software is compatible only with Windows operating systems: All editions of XP, XP 64bit, Vista, 7, and 8, and with CH Products USB devices only. To get the most out of your controller, CH offers the CH Control Manager programming software. The CH Control Manager advanced programming software is Windows compatible, (latest version available at as a free download) and works with all CH USB peripherals, including the Eclipse Yoke, Fighter stick, and Throttle Quadrant. This OPTIONAL programming software allows you total control over your CH USB devices, letting you program macros, assign buttons, and much more. Review: Practically perfect - After extensive (well, pretty much!)searching online, this CH products yoke was one of two that I could find for purchase. The other one, however, was only for sale for time to time on some corner of eBay, and did not look like the kind of reliable thing that I wanted to supplement my real-life flying with. So, I bought this one. I found immediately that it had a nice range of movement, and a well chosen weight behind the movement - you don't want to inadvertantly flick your nose over your head during the landing flare, as is possible on lighter controllers! It gives a satisfying feeling during the flying, and feels a lot more authentic than the joystick I previously used to use. It comes with quite a few buttons for the hands when on the yoke - more than enough to personalise your shortcuts with, a view-hat switch (which lets you look around the cockpit with ease), a vertical trim rocker switch (very useful!) and a rudder trim rocker switch. There are also two push up or down buttons, which I use for flaps and landing gear, and of course the throttle, prop and mixture levers. These were firm to the grip, nice and chunky, and smooth without being too smooth to handle. The yoke comes with two adjustable clips, for want of a better word, intended for attaching the yoke to the table. Unfortunately this system didn't really work out so well, with the yoke rocking when I pushed it forward or pulled it back, but wedging a mousemat under the back solved this fine. Needless to say, all that was needed was to plug the cable into the USB port, and within seconds it was recognised by Flight Simulator, no calibration needed. Coupled with the pedals, this made for a great transformation of the Flight Simulator experience. There could have been a few improvements, such as a better attachment system to the worktop, but as it is it's brilliant, and I highly recommend it.
Review: a must if you are serious - ...about your flying. If you want to simulate your flights properly, if you are a student pilot and want to do some "homework" on the sim at home, you simply have to get these. They are very well built and work very well. No problems with them at all. The only thing I have not liked too much is that they tend, ever so slightly, to "snap" into neutral position as you approach the centre. Otherwise they are very robust and precise. Expensive? Yes, I think they are very expensive for what they are, all ch products are. But I have used their pro throttle, Fighterstick and pedals every single day for over a year and they are performing exactly as new. Which is not what I can say about other flight controllers I have owned. For example Saitek. Admittedly much cheaper, but after a few months started to lose performance, and were soon useless. So i'd rather pay more for CH products.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Up and away
*by F***Y on 5 January 2011*

I use Flight Simulator X with glider and aerobatic aircraft addons. I had previously purchased CH joystick and Pro pedals and wanted a HOTAS type throttle to complement my set up. I also run 3D and use earbuds. CH installation on Windows 7 64 bit was a 1 2 3 affair. I followed the steps, ran through the CH calibration and the gear is working great. I am finding that the more I use the CH gear, the more I like it, it feels solid and very positive in use. I use Freetrack for head tracking so the hat type switches have not found a good use yet but it is early days after all. Currently I am flying a lot of circuits and practicing simple aerobatic maneouvres and sitting in front of my screen with joystick in one hand, throttle in the other and feet on the pedals is so much more immersive than flying with just a joystick. An excellent product.
