BarCraft Deluxe Corkscrew, Wine Bottle Opener with Built-in Foil Cutter, Black & Chrome

This was bought to replace a similar predecessor, worn out from heavy use! Brilliant, quick, easy, and so far has not been defeated by any cork, although I expect it to lose its effectiveness - as its predecessor did - when the Teflon wears off the screw. Worth every penny. WARNING! December 2012: The arm snapped off at the join. Earlier models had a 100% metal arm; this model has (in my opinion) a design weakness in joining bakelite to metal at a major stress point, using only a short piece of metal to insert into the bakelite: spoiling the boat for a ha'porth of tar. I'll go back to using the predecessor all-metal-arm version whose life I can prolong using the spare screws supplied with this one. Pity though!

Easy to use, sturdy and removes corks with ease. Also, removing the cork from the device after was very simple. Thank you.

Should be on sale for £5 because thats the level of quality of this tat. There is no way the cost price of this garbage would be more than £1.

I bought this to replace an older corkscrew of a similar design that had worn out (we don't drink that much wine - honest). This one is more compact and lighter than the old one. It's not as chunky but still feels well built. It takes up a lot less room in the drawer and is just as efficient at removing corks. If you haven't tried this type of corkscrew then I highly recommend you should. It's so simple and requires so little effort you wonder why all corkscrews are not like this.

I have had many corkscrews over the years and this is the best ever. Both my wife and I find it really quick and equally easy to use. With it, one can extract a cork and remove it from the corkscrew in four swift actions taking about as many seconds. Update - after nearly one year and ten months of regular use the handle broke (- metal fatigue. It is made of cast alloy). Nevertheless, sufficiently pleased with it to order another! If it was properly engineered I guess it would cost a lot more. Update: the second one has now broken in exactly the same way, so I am ordering a different model for my third version.

My wife and I love this corkscrew because it really is easy to use. Simply place it over the top of the cork, squeeze the handles, push the the arm down, lift it up and bingo, out comes your cork. Even though I'm a musclebound hunk, it doesn't require a huge amount of brawn or biceps as big as mine to use. Not once have we split a cork or suffered any personal injuries while using this product. We did enjoy watching my mum trying to open bottles with it over Christmas as she couldn't get the hang of it. However I don't think that's due to the corkscrew, more down to the glasses of wine my mother had drunk before using it.

Had this for 1 year and 3 weeks. Worked OK for a while but it required a lot of effort to get many corks out. Now, the screw cap holding the corkscrew in place won't lock down properly (behaves like the thread is stripped) so it's junk. Don't know if you think that buying a new one every year is a good deal. If not, don't buy this one

Super Korkenzieher; etwas besser ausgeführt als die billigeren. Folienschneider funktioniert nicht so gut, aber das hat dieser Korkenzieher mit anderen gmein.

De lo mejor que he comprado en Amazon. Es algo caro (comparado con otros sacacorchos) pero cuando lo usas por primera vez entiendes el porqué. Cómpralo, no te vas a arrepentir.

Easy to use and you don't need to be super strong to use it. It goes into the cork smoothly and lifts easily. Good addition to my wine cabinet.
