Quidditch Through the Ages: J.K. Rowling : Rowling, J.K.: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Interesting.. - I found this book to be far better than "fantastic beasts and where to find them" as it goes in to more depth with the history, which could be seen as very convincing. The book starts off by going into explaining the humble beginnings of the game in a wizard's family garden. The book continues on to the more primitive, earlier version of the game, the rules and the controversies, the historic games, the advances in broomsticks - how it was popular to make your own in the early stages of the games before witches and wizards eventually decided to buy them made from companies. It also talks about the balls used in the game and what they were once originally made of and what the Golden Snitch was based on. It finishes by explaining how the game is played today. Throughout there are mentions of prominent Teams and Players throughout the world and how it spread throughout. A whole chapter being dedicated to the Quidditch teams of The UK and Ireland. I love how Rowling does a great job making this world believable that it's actually real. I think all Harry Potter fans should at least read this once. Review: Magical - Arrived on time, book is in perfect condition. Would highly recommend buying it for anyone else who wants to dive deeper into the world of Harry Potter

Fantastic!
This book is such a fun and insightful book into the world of quidditch. Rowling herself has put so much thought into not only the origins of the game but also the evolution. It is by no means a long book but a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours. Perfect for all ages. And heck it's for charity! Don't you want to know where the snitch originated?

Fun for Fans!
A nice, in-universe text for fans of Harry Potter, this book appears like an abridged version of a textbook from the novels and film series, complete with annotations. Great for fans and a fun addition, but not required for the main narrative.

Wonderful
This is a great addition to any Harry Potter fan's collection. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The information inside is funny and interesting and is punctuated with wizarding newspaper articles and other items of interest. The book is a present for my little brother and he will love all the little extra details like the Hogwarts library sticker inside the front page, and the price in Galleons on the back. A great price too!

Beats a quaffle.
If you (or your children) enjoyed the Harry Potter books then this and the two companions, 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' and 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' are a must for your library. Great 'facts' abound which is particularly useful for those whose knowledge of the 'Wizarding World' comes from the films and not the novels. I found my daughter, who's been watching the film series, finally picked up the novels after reading this book.

Great Potter educational, book
Could have been improved by a few short Stories, amusing, dramatic related to quidditch and the sport. Interesting read for all Potter fans.

It’s a fun and quick read, full of little snippets into the game we wish we could play in reality. Not to mention it’s a charitable donation to Lumos, that’s the real reason to buy the book.

I'm a major Harry Potter fan. I was introduced to JK Rowling's books by my nephew years ago. We read all the books and saw all the movies and were sad when the books were over. So anytime I find anything related to the Harry Potter saga, I'm there! This book was very interesting in explaining the beginnings of and history of Quidditch. It's an easy read, but also brought back a lot of good memories!
