Lots to do!
Loads of things to make with big bright pictures and detailed instructions. A worthwhile addition to my workshop. only reason I have said 4* not 5* and this is just my opinion and you may like it, but though there are many different design to make quite a few are just different finishes of the same thing e.g. a bunch of clocks. Now saying that they are different and others prefer other designs but I don't want to make loads of the same things. So on the whole it is a great book, but could use a little more variety. (But I guess it would work a treat if you are making pressies for other people)

Fantastic Read
Other than the delivery been left outside in the rain and having the book saturated with rain it’s the best buy yet. Ever page you turn over on this book gives more and more knowledge. I will be looking for more books similar to this one. Full of information on how to construct carpentry projects. All the design work done for you and to scale. I purchased this book secondhand but, it’s well worth the full price if others are not for sale. For a beginner it’s just the job you can not go wrong with this book you name it you will find a project to construct in it.

Great Projects - Woodworking Basic Knowledge Required
I love this book for the projects, which is exactly what it said it would be. However, as the book was suggested for ALL levels from beginners to more advanced, I had anticipated suggestions for tools along the way. My mistake since the summary of the book never promised that this information was included, and I had made that assumption. Regardless of my own errors, I think that the book is superb and will certainly enjoy using it. I purchased it specifically for some of the items on the cover, and then some more that I hadn't expected. I will, however, be looking for another book though to help me with tool selection, and lessons regarding the joints and cutting skills I will need to make them. I can see myself returning to this book over and over again for existing projects and the way it describes building on your designs to modify and make something more unique of your own. I'd definitely buy it as a gift for others and be sure of it being gratefully received too.

nice book
Nice book, well written, but for the American market and very detailed, would suit a cabinetmaker interested in American style

Great project book
I bought this for a present and was surprised at how big the book really is. I know the title is 'Big Book' but it was thicker than I expected. There are plenty of little projects in here to keep some-one going for quite a while so hopefully the person I bought it for loves it too!

Das Buch hatte ich mir etwas anders vorgestellt. Es sind sehr einfach Dinge zum Basteln dort dargestellt, die glaube ich in der Zeit schon etwas zurückliegen.

First thing first: this is a book of projects, not a book on woodworking techniques. In terms of number of projects, this book is a GREAT value. Each projects comes with at least a two-view drawings: front view and side (or top) view. Most of the projects also have an exploded view to illustrate how the project goes together. Better yet, each project comes with photograph of finished product. One caveat: The drawings are not actual size; we have to enlarge them to full size. The authors explains several methods how we can do it. Below, I give you the complete list of the projects so you can decide yourself whether they are to your liking. Kitchen Projects: 1. It's a good book to come up with ideas and has some pointers on how to do it but I feel the bullet points are always too vague for a beginner like me. So maybe more recommended for a intermediate level that already knows the basics and feels comfortable with just some pointers. The projects inside the book are interesting and for all taste and sizes. Would be nice to have the dimensions also in the metric system.
